If I wasn't broke and hadn't just bought NOW 87 I would've picked up Top Hits, a nice tracklisting!

I hate that Boyzone song. It was in my head throughout Christmas.

I think it probably will flop, but even though it makes the Now compilations a bit weaker, it does mean that we get a broader selection of songs with both around, a bit of competition never hurt anybody imo. And anybody who wants the missing songs can shell out £5.99 for them, it's just a shame that it's not available on CD.

On the past few Now albums both Universal and Sony have been credited on the back cover without a credit for Warner for some reason, maybe that was part of the issue? Giving away their artists' songs without any visible credit?

There are 8 songs on Top Hits that I'm certain would have been on Now 87 if the compilers had access to them, so it's interesting to think what's actually on there and would have had to be left out, hence never making the Now series. My guesses are London Grammar, John Newman, Le Youth, Tujamo, Busta Rhymes and Elyar Fox. Not sure about the other two that would have been cut!

There's been some confusion - the 21st Century Now CD is for the most downloaded songs of the 21st century!

Still a bit of false advertising there given almost half the century was at a disadvantage anyway. They could have called it something different.

Then it should've been called Now That's What I Call A Download, since there wasn't such a thing as legal downloads in any other century.
It sounds as if it would only be sold digitally that way though which could affect sales.

I agree, I love that NOW has a rival compilation again, because we get a few more flops on each album.

I think the reason why Warner's logo doesn't get put on the NOW Cd back cover is because all compilation based stuff from Warner is dealt by a label called "Rhino" and maybe they thought that "Rhino" would look odd next the Universal and Sony labels.

I am so sure that most of disc 2 was originally gonna have the Warner artists on it.

Top Hits entered at No.16...I wonder how high it would have been with a CD release, top ten perhaps? It's hard to know whether to call it a success or a failure
Beautiful People, Next To Me and Candy are the only songs on Now 21st Century not to make the download top 100 then, I think they all went platinum though. Still, they could have been replaced with three bigger hits.

After seeing the Top 100 on the official charts site, the track listing is pretty accurate to the official biggest selling tracks. Shame they didn't put a bit more money in it and get an Adele or Beyonce track on the album, but oh well.
I COULD do it but I'm not really that bothered, although if people want it...

Sash! "Mysterious Times" was never on a NOW compilation. Shocking! :o Incidentally does anyone over at Moopy know when this will be updated for 72-87 ?

Mysterious Times never appeared in the series but it did make an appearance in the spin off Millennium Series featuring on Now 1998.
