I'm resisting temptation well here, and trying to remind myself that I already have all of these songs in various places! I'm just so broke at the moment it's unreal :(

Give in to the temptation

The 1996 compilation is amazing actually, incredible tracklist! The 1998/1999 ones are great but packed with repeat artists and the 5ive/B*Witched songs on the end of 1998 are the album versions not the single versions. I have the single versions on Hits 99 and some Top of the Pops compilation from the time though...

In fact thinking about it the 1999 one is absolutely criminal for only featuring two dance songs, it was one of the biggest genres of the year! Where are Alice Deejay/ATB for a start? 4 Westlife songs though

Maybe a lot of Dance tracks were released on Sony/Universal/Virgin.

Hmm, I may buy 1994-1997 - tempting!

Do it! It's a great nostalgia trip. :D

I already own these years in old compilations that were out on CD years ago (different track lists). I'm pretty sure I had a different Now 1995 at the end of that year as well, making 3 now?!

I will probably buy them anyway….!

In '93 NOW released an 10 Year Anniversary collection from 1983-1993. They then also made 1994 and 1995 due to the success of the previous ones. In 1999 the released the "Millennium Series" to celebrate it being the end of the 20th Century. Those ones go from 1980-1999, the difference between the first series and second is that Sony Music and Warner were less cooperative with the second series, so it was more a Virgin/EMI/Universal effort.

[i'm a NOW Fan & have no boyfriend, so i know this info]

I hope the 00s selection prove to be good. We've never had volumes for each year since 2000 so I hope we don't have a million multiple appearances on them. That's mainly what's turned me off the late 90s ones.
In 2002/3 especially, the Hits albums were almost MORE relevant than the Now albums in terms of tracklists (although not sales sadly, Hits 55 is better than TONS of Now albums) due to Hits getting all the huge selling Pop Idol songs and acts like Shakira/J.Lo/Westlife/Dido etc...so will be intriguing to see how much of that stuff makes it onto the albums due out on Monday.

The NOWs from 2000-2004 will be really interesting to see because the NOW label were limited to what artists/songs they could include. I'm also hoping for MANY Girls Aloud appearances

HITS 55... Does that one have Delta Goodrem on it? ;)

Also, what does everyone think of NOW Club Hits 2014?!

I remember Hits 55 being better than Now 54.
Didn't one of the Now albums have the Tina Cousins flop "Angel"? Not that I'm complaining because I love the song, but it was a weird choice for sure.

Might do  But it also has Beautiful, Stole, The Opera Song, I Begin To Wonder, Complicated, Family Portrait, Jenny From The Block, You're A Superstar, Scandalous, Work It, A Little Less Conversation and Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum) *.*

I have no opinion on Now Club Hits 2014, it rounds up the year's dance hits that are already on the standard Now albums nicely with a few flop remixes for bonus measure. I'm more interested in Now Chilled but again, doubt I'll invest. What I really want is about £200 to download all of the Now Years albums :(

Yeah Now 44 which as otherwise packed with hits. I used to love getting floppy songs on Nows. I don't like them as much now that they seem to get every hit but then I think it's because I'm just not in to current music enough. If in 2003 things were like they are now, I'd be loving it.

I guess the record label was trying to make Tina Cousins big back in 1999 and thought including her on Nows was a good way to promote? Since she was included in the 3 Nows of that year: 42: Killin' Time 99 (No.15), 43: Forever (No.45) and 44: Angel (No.46).

Oooh, I love "The Opera Song" It is a very good album indeed!

Slightly depressed with myself now considering I just bought the Ibiza album, should've held on for this

I crumbled and got Now 1996 and Now 1998, flawless tracklists for both and perfect for my long train journey tomorrow!
