Ellie Goulding is apparently in the running to become the fourth judge! Can't imagine that happening, but I'd be intrigued to see her in the role.

I'd love to see Sharon come back along side Cheryl, Simon and Louis. She's absolutely hilarious and was the only good thing about the last series!

Apparently Simon wants to get rid of boot camp this year and put more emphasis on the six chair challenge.

 

Cowell is ‘fed up’ with the show’s old format – which has been in place since its inception – and wants to give greater emphasis to the controversial six-chair challenge introduced last year.

 

Under the proposed idea, the panel will now whittle down the 200-plus acts that get past the auditions without callbacks – possibly by sifting through photos, similarly to sister show Britain’s Got Talent.

I don't mind them getting rid of Bootcp but I hope they still keep Judges Houses they got rid of it on the US X Factor the last series they done which I didn't like .

But if they get rid of Bootcamp it will be rubbish, purely because they might judge it by 1 audition. Normally there are people who get through to the lives who do fantastic at boot camp but you don't remember their audition. Plus they will pick their favourites (Cher and Katie got through that series Gamu and TreyC should have been originally)

But they meet them on two different occasions for auditions now prior to boot camp - room and arena.

 

I don't understand what he means by 'getting rid of boot camp' though, because effectively if you're keeping the six chair challenge, you're keeping boot camp.

Well there's more to boot camp than just the six chair challenge. I know that for X Factor USA last year, they removed boot camp and judges' houses and replaced it with a four chair challenge to decide who was going through to the live shows. Must admit, it was good viewing but I'd rather they had it in the format they did for the UK last year - six chair challenge at boot camp, then to judges' houses for the final 3 to be decided.

Plus I always enjoy what songs they sing at boot camp and watching a song rise up the itunes chart :D

Bootcamp is basically the Six Chair Challenge but shorter so it won't make much difference .

I wonder how far we'll get into the series before one of the judges says 'you're too young, you're not ready yet. Come back in a few years time.'

 

Should be kept at 16 in my opinion.

They've done this before and that year even 16year olds were told they were too young.
