October 5, 201410 yr I mean if they do a 'one vote per device' (or a cap, at the very least) thing that's probably not going to allow for a complete whitewash in terms of any category/type of act.
October 6, 201410 yr I think there was App Voting last year, but of course it was paid for. This year voting is free through the app of course and there is a 5 vote limit per voting window according to this Digital Spy article.
October 6, 201410 yr Just what was Cheryl thinking about passing through that Chloe Jasmine. Just wait till she has to sing something more up-to-date. She'll get slaughtered. Kerrianne should have gone through deffo and Lola instead of Emily. Thank goodness that Stevie has gone. Just how he got passed Room Auditions puzzles me. All he can do is act the goat. Mind you the same could be said about Chloe Jasmine. You can't even tell what she's talking about. And they wonder why they are losing viewers Edited October 6, 201410 yr by euro music
October 6, 201410 yr Chloe really has PRESENCE, something few others have on this show Sorry I have the opposite opinion - I think she's just a snob. :( Edited October 6, 201410 yr by euro music
October 6, 201410 yr Not that I AGREE with it, but if they can pander to the likes of Sam Bailey (among many, many others) in terms of never making them leave their comfort zone they can do the same for Chloe. They'll certainly do it for Andrea, Jay and Paul.
October 6, 201410 yr They can get around that by not having the specific theme weeks. Rock is ok I guess but disco and dance week are quite pointless when none of them are going to release that type of music after the show... I prefer themes like number 1s, 80s, legends etc. as it gives the acts more chance to be themselves and show who they are as an artist. It might be more boring and "samey" but it leads to less not messes when the token quirky quiet girl has to sing a huge rock song and falls flat.
October 6, 201410 yr Yes, I agree. I was thinking Ben is proably the most likely to win at this point. I think I may put some money on him! As much as her personality will annoy, Chloe will do incredibly well if she was to just release an album! I think she could become the UK's equivalent to Caro Emerald. I think that's why I like her so much, I love her classy style and classic voice. And Caro is the only act that can take jazz albums to No.1 these days, Gaga and Tony WISH they had such relevance.
October 6, 201410 yr I have a bit of a theory about Jay James. From reading some online stuff he has already released an album and supported Rebecca on tour and by the looks of it hand picked by producers to audition. I think this year Simon wanted a credible overs male artist, who looks good, sounds soulful but gravely and is mister nice guy come good. Hence his first audition and arena audition sounding pretty awful and average and getting the judges compliments as he is already picked to go deep in the live shows. However along comes Ben who is a credible overs male artist, better looking than Jay, better voice than Jay and mister nice guy come good. The online reaction to Jay hasn't been great, most have not enjoyed his voice and performances and Ben has gone down much better. Simon was the last of the judges to film judges houses and he/his team will have had time to see the online reaction to both with their initial auditions. This is why I think he threw Jay under the bus at judges houses, mentioning singing through his nose (which hes has done at every audition so far and only being picked up on now) and only scraped through as Simon really had no one else viable in his last 6. I'm sure he fully regrets having got rid of Janet knowing now that Jay isn't that popular great act he was hoping and Ben coming along to do what he wanted better. I expect bad comments from the judges and Jay to get bad slots on lives to get him out after a few weeks as a shock exit and make room for Ben to be the sole focus of the overs and that voting demographic.
October 7, 201410 yr I would very much like Jay to be one of the early exits. He seems like a very nice man but his performances are horrible. How Simon/Sinitta reacted to his judges houses performance is pretty much how I felt about everything he'd done before. I agree that Ben is essentially a better version of Jay. They're literally the same act who'll be vying for the same audience to vote for them. Will be interesting to see which one triumphs out of the two, but I suspect/hope it'll be Ben. Not sure if I can see one of them as an obvious winner at this point, but I do sense that'll we'll have a male winner this year.

October 12, 201410 yr Foxes @iamfoxes Smart choice @cherylOfficial @TheXfactor @simoncowell to mash up Happy and Teardrop wish I'd thought of that... Foxes @iamfoxes Oh wait, i did...In March (@BBCR1 #LiveLounge) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES31WRvH5Xk … 👀 Foxes calling out those sly foxes...
October 12, 201410 yr What even is the purpose of that.... Shady bitch tbh To be fair, I would be pissed too. She has every right to be annoyed.
October 12, 201410 yr To be fair, I would be pissed too. She has every right to be annoyed. What for? Because someone did the same mash-up as she did? I mean get that promo I guess, but it just seems a little unnecessary to me
October 12, 201410 yr I'm not sure she really has the right to be too pissed off. It's not like Happy or Teardrop are her own creations anyway, she just sang one of them with a melody that suited the instrumental of the other. Admittedly it's a clever version, but it's not really her ownership? Besides, as they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! Her being annoyed at someone else taking credit for it would be like Pharrell/Massive Attack being pissed off at Foxes for taking credit for what is actually their songs. She'll get extra awareness and attention towards her mash-up anyway (I wasn't even aware of its existence yesterday, thus I became aware of Foxes'), so she's not really the loser in this. Her performance still exists and Lauren's doesn't take away from that, in a way it adds to it.
