February 12, 201411 yr That episode was brilliant! Jake just gets hotter every time I see him *.* :kink:
February 13, 201411 yr Just got round to seeing this week's and it was another very good episode. Ben's bumbling teenager was brilliant.
March 5, 201411 yr It was a nice episode... but not really a great series finale. Or serial finale. It just sorta ended.
March 5, 201411 yr I thought it was a rather good way to end it with all three children showing signs of growing up. It was all quite sweet really
March 5, 201411 yr I wish they'd shown Jake going to uni... for me, it would be the epitome of it ending if Jake wasn't around...
March 5, 201411 yr Yes, that would have been a suitable ending as a significant moment in a family's development. OTOH, the whole series was building up to Spartacus and so the timing would not have been right. The school production wouldn't be in late September / early October which would have been the time Jake went to university.

March 5, 201411 yr They've said there may be the occasional one-off episode so Jake going to university may yet happen.
March 5, 201411 yr TBH I'd love them to do a spin-off in ten years time. To see what the kids are like grown up. I see Karen as some raving feminist at the head of a political party.
March 5, 201411 yr I think the way Karen has grown up and become mature was fitting for the ending. It would've been nice to see Jake go off to university too. But I agree it didn't really have a proper ending. It just ended.

But I agree it didn't really have a proper ending. It just ended. But it ended with the family more united than they had ever been and with the children running things in a more coherent and constructive way - Jake sorting out Auntie Angela and Karen sorting out Ben's nerves.. That's why I thought it was rather sweet.
July 25, 20169 yr Been doing the rounds on social media today, took me a few moments to figure out why!!
September 15, 20168 yr Outnumbered is returning for a Christmas special this year to see how the lives have changed. It is hoped that they will return every two years or so to continue seeing the development of the lives. I'll wait to see what the episode is like but my initial thought is that they just need to let this die! :drama: The humour largely came from the ages of the children which resulted in a more lackluster final series as the children were all grown up and aware of what they were doing.
September 15, 20168 yr Not sure about this returning. The show got less funny as the kids grew up, so it doesn't bode well!
December 18, 20168 yr I remember watching a lot of episodes of this show and I LOL'ing at it Pete: "You were specifically told 'no fighting, no swearing, and no drinking alcohol', and I caught you bashing that kid's head on the floor shouting 'Don't touch my bloody beer!'" LMAO And I remember the episode where the parents restart the family computer after it crahsed, only to find a nude pic on it.
December 27, 20168 yr I thought the special was quite funny in places, especially the political jokes. I'm still not sure it was needed though but maybe it will be fun if it returns every Christmas or so.
December 28, 20168 yr I'm watching the Christmas special now, still enjoy it but never thought it was as good when the kids got a bit older, interested to see this episode though
