I don't know if you can call a song off an album a flop if the album has been in the top 5 for ages and is x2 platinum... People surely just do complete my album at this point if they haven't already?

Right this is why 'What Now' has been climbing:

Now it's say no more about it. Thank you.

I haven't even got a television but I've read this thread so I know why the Rihanna song is high.

...Well, I know in the sense that I can see where it's getting promoted. I don't really understand why people are buying a lame album filler because it's being played in the background while some actors pretend to be police officers, but I'm kind of used to it.

I hope so. I think in the future when spotify, dezzer and the like are more popular then there will be no reason for artists to hold back releases so hopefully there'll be a on-air/on-streaming services type thing going on. It's quite bad that, say, Stay the Night can be streamed from YouTube but it can't be from Spotify because it's not on UK downloading sites yet.

I always wondered how this worked - so the streaming sites don't get the songs until the record labels decide to release them too!?

They're not buying it cos they like the advert, they're buying it cos they either haven't heard the song before, or are only just liking it because they're being exposed to it in a new way.

I dunno why but sometimes I won't like a song, but then I'll hear it in another situation and I'll enjoy it more, and gain an appreciation for it.

Yes! Great move for Imagine Dragons <3 Hopefully 'Demons' can become the long running hit, 'It's Time' never became :(

A lot of dance songs don't ever get put up on Spotify. I think the label is Ministry of Sound? For example I was trying to listen to T2 - Heartbroken earlier, which is a classic, but I couldn't find a real version on Spotify.

61. She Looks So Perfect - 5 Seconds of Summer

Don't tell me - yet another act that *everyone else* in the UK but me has heard of?

You're not alone this time, I haven't heard of them either. A quick look on iTunes suggests that they're a boy band and it'll be out 23rd March.

Yay for another boyband coming out of nowhere and apparently already having a fairly large fanbase!

Didn't realise it was a pre-order - no way to tell from LivePopBars...

From what I understand, they got their big break supporting One Direction for the Aus leg of their tour last year. It's kind of weird how well they're charting in heaps of other countries. They're also not *as* awful as most of their peers! :P

Edit: OK that song is more than a bit weak.

These new boy/girl bands alway get support by supporting some big pop artist!
I've heard a 5 Seconds of Summer song before I think, can kinda remember it being decent, not heard this new one but had no idea they had any kind of fanbase like this.

It's another Vamps-Mcfly-One Direction heard it all before, blandfest that will only appeal to teenage girls with nothing better to do than go on about how 'fit' the band members are......yawn

Sadly the single is now up to number 15 on preorder and the EP is number one :puke: so looks like another top 3 travesty! I know I'm being harsh but its just so tedious now that every recent boy band just adds nothing more to the genre but still get hit records...and they have got a stupid name...

On the other hand, go Lana!! (Even though I've not heard it yet!!) end on a positive :)

You're acting like they're mass murderers, not an inoffensive teen boyband. :P
