I would wonder is Avicii even in with the slightest of slight chances of getting the number 1 album?
It pains me to see 'DJ Stay The Night' at midweek #29, which incidentally is the same position that 'Clarity' peaked at. It'll end up peaking higher, ugh. :(
I still have no idea what Sound City are doing there. It only made #19 last year, must be a considerable boost from somewhere. I'd understand it more if Reznor, Buckingham, Grohl and QOTSA had played something from it at the Grammys.

1 Clean Bandit feat. Jess Glynne - Rather Be (59,7k)

Alesso vs. OneRepublic no change, top 20 same as yesterday, DJ Stay The Night is up 4 places. Looks like Clean Bandit could just clear 100k. I probably estimate around 103k to 106k, Saturday might give it a boost.

Midweek Charts update: Clean Bandit biggest Atlantic No 1 since 2008

Source: MW

Paul Williams

Clean Bandit's Rather Be is set to become Atlantic's longest-running UK No 1 single in six years as it heads for a third week at the top.

The track featuring Jess Glynne had sold nearly 300,000 copies across its first two weeks and so far this week has added another 70,000 units to that tally to safely put it on course for No 1 again, according to the Official Charts Company.

The last Atlantic single to be at No 1 longer was Estelle featuring Kanye West's American Boy, which began a four-week run ruling the chart in March 2008.

Ministry of Sound act DJ Fresh is new at No 2 with Dibby Dibby Sound featuring Jay Fay and Ms Dynamite, although the RCA-handled Happy by Pharrell Williams is only a few thousand sales behind as it holds at No 3 in the week so far. Interscope/Polydor act will.i.am and a multi-cast including Miley Cyrus and Wiz Khalifa drop 2-4 with Feelin' Myself as the RCA track Timber by Pitbull featuring Kimber moves back up a place to 5.

On artist albums Island's Bombay Bicycle Club will score their first No 1 with So Long See You Tomorrow, which is 75% ahead in sales of its closest rival, Positiva/PRMD's Avicii with True, which climbs 4-2 on Sales Flashes.Polydor's Ellie Goulding is down 2-3 with Halcyon, Beyonce's self-titled, RCA-handled set falls 3-4, while there are brand new Top 10 entries from Dramatico's Within Temptation, Maximo Park on the Daylighting label and Columbia's Broken Bells.

Top 5 sales added, Within Temptation seems guaranteed a #5 position, there seems to be a big 1k sales gap between #5 and #6

Clean Bandit seems to have done another 13k rougly, hopefully another 13k for today brings it to 85k, plus Saturdays' sales should push it over 100k just
It'd be great if Rihanna could stay top 20, 'What Now' is one of my favourite singles of hers.
DJ Stay The Night officially peaking higher than Zedd's 'Clarity' I can't believe Clarity wasn't absolutely massive, at least Stay The Night looks like going at least top 3 next week so good for him. :)

G'won Clean Bandit get over 100k mark for a third week running!

Looks like DJ Fresh is going to have to settle for No3, with Pharrell poised to overtake.

Terrific to see 'True' on course to re-peak for Avicii! :cheer:
