Irish Brigade still in the top 40. They'll definitely make the midweek chart top 40, and when they do, the ding-dong will begin.

I must have missed something, but how/why is this song about the hunger strikers (I've just played the iTunes sample) troubling the UK chart? Rebel songs are nothing new, but my exposure to them is usually restricted to my local pub's jukebox.

In a good or bad sense?

Low sales or not a number 1 album is still the best selling of the week and it has status so hold on Katy B and get her first number 1.

The SNP government in Scotland have introduced legislation covering the singing of certain songs - including this one which Celtic fans like to chant - at football matches so this is part of a protest campaign.

^^ Theyll not play it on the chart update they might just mention it & itll be gone by Sunday!

I think Katy B will sell around 18-19k , which is bad but matches the current sales climate...

hope Lisa Stansfield can hold on to her top 10 placing... A few years ago that would've been a lot harder for her.... such a good album.

Midweek Charts: Brit School's Katy B and London Grammar top of chart class

Katy B is heading for her first UK No 1 album as London Grammar continue to gain from their Graham Norton TV appearance.

The Brit School graduate’s second Rinse/Columbia album Little Red leads the latest midweek artist chart with an 84% sales lead as London Grammar’s If You Wait moves back up 4-2, according to the Official Charts Company.

Little Red comes three years after Katy B’s debut album On A Mission, which debuted and peaked at No 2 in the UK, and follows Crying For No Reason making the singles chart’s Top 10. The track progresses 7-6 in the week to date.

For London Grammar, If You Wait sees its sales rise 110% on the week and follows them performing Strong on Graham Norton’s BBC One chat show last Friday. The Metal & Dust Recordings/Ministry of Sound album debuted at No 2 last September and has to date sold nearly 300,000 copies domestically.

Just behind If You Wait at this stage of the week is Polydor act Ellie Goulding’s Halcyon, which holds at No 3, as Avicii’s Positiva/PRMD album True drops 2-4.

Northamptonshire band Temples’ debut Heavenly album Sun Structures is new at No 5 in the midweeks, while there are also returns for veterans Lisa Stansfield and Neil Finn.

Seven, Stansfield’s first album since 2004’s The Moment and released on her Monkeynatra label, is new at 8 in the week so far and is aiming to become her first Top 10 entry since the self-titled Lisa Stansfield set reached No 2 in 1997. There has also been an almost equally long wait for Crowded House and Split Enz co-founder Finn to return to the Top 10 and his new album Dizzy Heights on the Lester label is new at 9 in the week to date, nearly 16 years after he last cracked the Top 10 as a solo act with Try Whistling This.

Beyonce’s RCA-handled, self-titled album drops a place to No 6, while Island act Bombay Bicycle Club’s So Long See You Tomorrow sinks to No 7 having last Sunday gave the group their first ever chart-topper. Meanwhile, Atlantic/Custard’s James Blunt is looking to return to the Top 10 as Moon Landing climbs 13-10 with sales up 15% in the week so far.

Johnny Cash’s eldest daughter Rosanne is poised for her highest-charting album in the UK with the newly-issued Decca set The River & The Thread new at 16 in the latest Sales Flashes.

On singles Russian-German electronic music producer Zedd has opened up a lead of around 5,000 sales at No 1with newly-issued Interscope/Polydor single Stay The Night. It features Paramore’s Hayley Williams who was a featured vocalist on B.o.B.’s 2010 chart-topper Airplanes.

There are three other brand new releases currently among the Top 10 positions, led by “geezer” comedian Dapper Laughs whose Proper Moist on his 84 World label is at No 8. Parlophone at David Guetta is new at 9 with Shot Me Down featuring Skylar Grey, while US electronic musician, DJ and producer Le Youth could be on for a first UK Top 10 hit with the RCA-handled Dance With Me featuring Dominique Young new at 10 in the week to date.

After securing a third week at No 1 last Sunday, Atlantic’s Clean Bandit drop to No 2 with Rather Be featuring Jess Glynne, although it is close enough to the leader to possibly make it four weeks at the top this weekend.

Pharrell Williams’ RCA-handled former No 1 Happy falls 2-3 as Interscope/Polydor act will.i.am’s Feelin’ Myself with a cast including Miley Cyrus and Wiz Khalifa holds at No 3 and the Ministry of Sound single Dibby Dibby Sound by DJ Fresh featuring Jay Fay and Ms Dynamite slips 3-5.

A place below Katy B, the RCA-issued Timber by Pitbull featuring Kesha slides a couple of positions to NO 7.

Sales of PMR/Island act Disclosure’s F For You are up 755% on the week to lift it 29-20 on the back of a new version coming out featuring vocals from Mary J Blige, while Interscope/Polydor act Imagine Dragons’ Demons rises 30-23 in the week so far with sales up 87%.

A group of Celtic football fans are behind the release of Roll of Honour as part of a campaign against sectarianism in Scottish football. Issued under the name The Irish Brigade on a label of the same name, it is new at 24 in the midweeks.

Island act Nina Nesbitt arrives at No 29 with Selfies, while Columbia’s John Legend climbs 72-30 with All Of Me after he performed it on Jonathan Ross’s ITV chat show last Saturday.

Great to see a new entry at 5 on the albums chart for Temples, got my copy on Monday there!
Glad Ellie has snuck into the top 40, will hopefully move up more as the weeks go on. But shell prob started to get promo in a months time like what happened with Burn!

It's a shocking choice of single, I don't expect this to peak in the top 20.

Though it could still be possible if she wisely performs it at the BRITs.

No surprise they avoid playing the Irish Brigade at 24!
Double Hurrah that Katy B is number 1 in the midweeks for albums and is looking to climb in the singles chart! :D

Le Youth top 10. :o I think it'll be #12 on Sunday though.

Katy B could get a new peak with 'Crying For No Reason' if she can keep David Guetta at bay.

OCC have put Clean Bandit's sales at just under 38k this week. Any chance of 100k this week?

Probably just short? Still pretty impressive for them though! I reckon it'll be really close this week between Zedd & Clean Bandit.
