Sam Smith - 1.0000

Clean Bandit - 0.7777

Fairly decent lead now. With another version at 35 with 7% and and EP at #1. I can't see anyone taking the 1 from him at this point, I think we're going to get some impressive sales in the early midweeks.

Seriously this iTunes chart looks disgraceful with the atrocities from Pharrell, Great Big World, Katy Perry, Zedd, Pitbull and Will.i.am

Hey, it's *my* job to hate all the big hits... :P

What's with all the Sam Smith hate? MOMM is a great song, and Sam is an incredible talent. Was lucky enough to see him live last year and my GOD he is amazing. His voice is ridiculous. He deserves all the success he's getting.

I have nothing against him, I like 'Latch' and his solo track 'Nirvana'. Just not this, it's supremely irritating.

So happy for Sam Smith, one of my favorite songs of the year so far. Incredible voice, and MOMM is highly infectious.

such a shame that 'Another Love' wasn't this big for Tom Odell
Best no1 of the year if it gets there. Some of the hare is laughable!

Shock revelation - people have different opinions on music!

In my honest opinion, Tom Odell left it way too late to release any tracks after his Brits win and as an artist I really Didnt get the hype around him as I've heard the album and its just quite bland but he does have a good voice but nothing that makes him stand out for me

The 'problem' with Tom Odell was that his music isn't unique enough. I'm a huge fan, but he's never going to hit #1 realistically. Sam Smith on the other hand, is releasing music with unique production/wider appeal, so it's no wonder he's doing better.

...apart from when he did?

I don't see what makes him or John Newman any special, to be honest. His work with Disclosure is better than his own.

I think of Tom Odell as someone comparable to Jake Bugg rather than Sam Smith or John Newman, in terms of their music at least.

Dancing on Ice:

3. Pharrell Williams - Happy (from "Despicable Me 2")

81. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Can't Hold Us (feat. Ray Dalton)

96. Sam Bailey - Skyscraper

107. Alannah Myles - Black Velvet

148. Demi Lovato - Skyscraper

171. Ed Sheeran - Lego House

515. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Can't Hold Us (feat. Ray Dalton)

679. Michael Jackson - Billie Jean (Single Version)

844. Ed Sheeran - Lego House

1167. Demi Lovato - Skyscraper

1184. Amanda Bynes, Elijah Kelley, John Travolta, Nikki Blonsky, Queen Latifah & Zac Efron - You Can't Stop the Beat

Looks like Happy could overtake Clean Bandit this week, especially with the BRITS! Amazing longevity and I'm not complaining even though I prefer Rather Be. Not really feeling this Sam Smith song though, he's got a great voice and I loved Latch and La La La, but this I just get bored of before it's even finished :(

Just a thousand times this. The 'hate' for MOMM is mostly stemming from fans of Sam Smith who just aren't keen on the song.

I'm definitely in the "I like Sam Smith but I don't like 'MOMM'" camp.
