It was done quite well actually, take a listen before suggesting other songs to use instead... :P

Just watched the Rudimental/Bastille performance!

Ella Eyre is SO GOOD!

That performance is amazing.

^ Yeah, it's not as bad as I feared, although it's not really a mash-up like I thought it'd be. It's basically just Pompeii the first half and Waiting All Night the last half, so more like a medley.

I like Ella Eyre too. She had a good song with Naughty Boy and Wiz Khalifa (which missed the top 40 ).

LMAO at Bastile Dan's dancing during Waiting All Night  , the mash up is not bad though and Ella Eyre looks quite nice in her latex outfit.
I really do feel that Ella is going to be huge this year (and majority of next too!).
Bastille and Rudimental sang together?!!!

I couldn't imagine hearing a mash up of Pompeii and Feel The Love.

It was Pompeii and Waiting All Night.

And it wasn't really a mash up, more one song changed into the other. They did kind of come together at the end though and it worked brilliantly.

Wow at happy getting 23 % jump in one update combined after selling already 900k and still almost number 1... A million seller next week for sure and still top 3. Can't remember something like this ever.

Shame XO didn't rise that much... Loved her performance.

BRIT effect in the top 100:

2. Pharrell Williams - Happy

6. Katy Perry - Dark Horse (ft. Juicy J)

17. Beyonce - XO

23. Bastille - Pompeii

28. Sam Smith - Lay Me Down

30. Pharrell Williams - Happy

31. Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know?

36. John Newman - Love Me Again

38. Lorde - Royals

40. Rudimental - Waiting All Night (ft. Ella Eyre)

41. Ellie Goulding - Burn

43. Disclosure - Latch (ft. Sam Smith)

48. Bruno Mars - Treasure

51. Sam Smith - Lay Me Down (Acoustic Version)

56. Daft Punk - Get Lucky (ft. Pharrell Williams)

58. Disclosure - White Noise (ft. AlunaGeorge)

59. Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine?

61. Bastille - Pompeii

67. Rudimental - Feel The Love

68. Arctic Monkeys - Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?

75. Daft Punk - Get Lucky (ft. Pharrell Williams & Nile Rogers)

86. Bastille - Pompeii

87. Bastille - The Things We Lost In The Fire

95. John Newman - Love Me Again

98. Rudimental - Waiting All Night (ft. Ella Eyre)

I wonder if James Cordon's 'Lay Me Down' plug was orchestrated or completely off-the-cuff. Either way, that's an incredible sales impact on a song that was mentioned once throughout a 2 hour+ show.
Will the Brit Award performances show up on the iTunes chart and will they be able to chart in the official chart?

Will the Brit Award performances show up on the iTunes chart and will they be able to chart in the official chart?

The Pompeii/Waiting All Night mashup is on iTunes charts, but I don't know how they will be counted. I'm guessing the mash-ups will be counted as separate versions and the solo performances will count.

Looks like 4 BRITs performances have been released so far - Bastille/Rudimental/Ella Eyre, Arctic Monkeys, Disclosure/Lorde/AlunaGeorge (YES *.* #1 plz) and Ellie Goulding (whose track is tagged only as 'Burn' despite it being a 'medley' of that and 'I Need Your Love'). Others may be released later I guess, in previous years not all the tracks were added at once. Just very happy that 'Royals / White Noise' has been released.
^ The mash-ups should be counted as separate versions, although I remember one (I think a Pass Out/Miami 2 Ibiza/Written in the Stars medley?) almost got combined with an individual song.

I should've used that ComparemeRadio site to prove to y'all how much everyone was hammering THOSE at the time and how infrequently Same Love was played >( (Wrote that as unfrequently at first. Me fail English, that's umpossible!)

Right so are we all expecting Katy's next no.1, flying to no.1 ala ADELE style?? :DDD

Haven't watched the perf. yet, but if it's anywhere near as iconic as this, best performance in like years:

then I assume a rocket-propelled top three at least :D

None of the Brits mashups or performances are showing in the Top 300 as of yet. The links are now on the front page of iTunes.

29. Arctic Monkeys - Do I Wanna Know

"Dark Horse" also has the video premiere today, which should boost it tomorrow onwards when the Brits effect might start wearing off slightly.
