February 24, 201411 yr Only 250k sold? I thought it sold more than that for some reason! Anyway, I thought they made a mistake releasing them as a double A side because "Better In Time" overshadowed "Footprints In The Sand" massively, imo. It's not been until recently that "Footprints..." has become more recognised thanks to that Britain's Got Talent performance by the Hungarian shadow theatre thing. Both a very strong singles in their own right. "Better In Time" showed a nice new dimension to Leona, and "Footprints..." was just classic Leona belting out a beautiful ballad. For me, "Footprints..." is the better of the two, so it is a shame it was overshadowed. I think they should've released "Better In Time" in December with a performance on the X Factor final. Then released "Footprints..." for Sport Relief in March. Plus, there was such a massive gap between this release and "Bleeding Love", I feel like they didn't capitalise on BL's success fast enough.
February 25, 201411 yr Author Love both of these songs! Really glad that FITS has been a real good trickle seller too, with Attraction performance also helping out a bit. I just wish we could get actual sales of it once, as I'm sure FITS has sold 100k+ in trickle sales by itself! May 27, 201411 yr Better in Time is just beautiful and sounds great now as it did then and will sound good for years to come. Footprints in the sand in enjoyable too but Better in Time is so much stronger.
June 20, 201411 yr Is this the last ever major double A-Side to chart? Don't remember any as big as this since.
