No he's not. He's a drum n' bass producer who remixed the song.

"Red Lights" is a song by Dutch musician, DJ and record producer, Tiësto. The song features uncredited vocals from Michel Zitron
40 Starship - We Built This City ^

I'm not even joking, I just sang the chorus to myself before scrolling down to see it was in the chart. Unless I unknowingly saw it just before...so strange!

Kid Cudi would struggle to go top 75 with a normal release

If I understand you correctly, would 'Explosions' at #13 not need to be overtaken? :P (Or 'Wonderman' if you count that!)

Honestly I completely forgot 'Explosions' existed :kink: I guess it's a highest non-top 15 peak then.

Bastille will likely get another week at #1 then .

I imagine the top 5 singles on Sunday will be Pharrell>Clean Bandit>Sam>Katy>A Great Big World. I'm still in awe that 'Happy' will cross the million mark at #1.

I wonder what the last non-charity/talent show track that sold its millionth copy whilst at no.1 was?

I reckon you'd have to go back to the 90s, 'Believe', 'Barbie Girl', 'Hit me Baby One More Time', something like that.

If those didn't do it, then 'Love is all Around' must certainly have done so.

Happy on course to sell another 80k this week then... How, it truly is beyond me!
"Dark Horse" should chart at #4 on Sunday then! Shame "XO" is looking like it will miss top 20 even with the BRITS performance! :o

He had a top 40 album only last year :o

That was pretty hugely hyped though which would have helped, and with this release strategy i'm not holding out hope for it doing too much anywhere but the US unfortunately.

:drama:

Pharrell at number one again...surely everyone who likes this must own it by now for goodness sake

Looks like this will still be in the charts come July :(

With a similar style of release wasn't it? His two previous albums both missed the top 75 and the debut missed the top 100 entirely despite containing his biggest/only hit. Odd.

It charted at #32 didn't it? The 'Indicud' release date was set for a while i believe, but he moved it forward by a week or so (and it had a number of pre-album singles released too). For this it's been known that he was set to release the full album, but the release date wasn't known until a few hours before it landed.

'Indicud' was a standalone album also, whereas this is part of a trilogy following on from his first two albums so could go even more ignored if people ignored the first few :(

Yeah 'his previous 2 albums' was referring to the two Man On The Moon ones if thatw asn't clear! I know 'Indicud' did go top 40.

I must have been thinking of the fact it was moved forward a bit, I don't remember hearing about it at all before release but that was probably just me being ignorant. Strange nonetheless that it charted so much higher than the previous albums.

Happy's total is 956,623 + 36,500 = 993,123

6,877 short, it should reach a million tomorrow. :D

"Blurred Lines" sold its millionth copy whilst No 1 (although during the week it sold its 1,000,000 copy it ended up at No 2) If you don't count that then it was Cher "Believe" :D

You can't count both 'Blurred Lines' and 'Happy' in that case, because their situations are opposites of each other ('Blurred Lines' passed the million while dropping off #1, 'Happy' passed it when about to climb to #1).

I answered the question that was posed :D

Noahspike was drawing the comparison.
