I'm sure there were promises that it would be slightly different from the first three but it just looks like it's going to be exactly the same  It's nice to see it following on from the third movie though, in terms of the world moving on from the massive over the top destruction of Chicago that only Man of Steel has beaten since.

This was an improvement on the 3rd film for me, good to see a new cast making it seem a little less stale! I thought the film was too long and could have quite easily finished 1 hour and 45 mins in - for once, I think it'd have been better off split into two.

The special effects and action scenes were gripping and visually stunning (as expected). Overall, a pretty decent film though!

It had a great beginning in China based on the Box Office Mojo. It is now the highest-grossing movie ever there!! I will go to watch it at the cinema the next week.

Went to see this last night and it was amazing as expected! Love Mark Wahlberg.
So much better than the first 3, I just found it a tad too long, its nearly 3 hours (you might need a toilet break at some point), a 2 hour movie would have been most sufficient. The new cast fits better and I loved the dinobots. At least the city destruction is not overload like Man Of Steel, Godzilla
To be honest I'm not really excited to see this, although I do love Mark Wahlberg he's great, and I did like the first Transformers movie, the 2nd I weren't keen on, the third one was awful and put me right off, but this one do look better

the previous Transformer film was awful. I feel like I need to say a huge sorry to Transformers fans...cos there's so much in this film I hated.

On the plus side Kelsey Grammar is a great actor and a good baddie. Some of the cinematography of landscapes throughout the world was beautiful.

That's about it, though. The film is about 3 hours too long, it's sexist, filled with racial stereotypes (even the robots are racial stereotypes), it's got a kerching kerching box office eye on Asia setting half the film there (without actually using actors in a non-stereotype way, in fact mostly just ignoring them), some of the acting is dire - full of Futurama-type-President-Nixon's-Head style acting, only without the comic intent. The special effects are just Fight Fight Fight, kill kill kill, look at the size of my computer-effects-budget blandness. I loathed all of the characters, not one of them had any real depth or humanity, selfish all, annoying paper-thin constructions spouting some of the most cliched, puerile one-liners you've heard a million times before. Nobody cared about people getting killed en masse in all the destruction or try to help anyone, or express remorse, the goodies were as bad as the baddies. The plot? Improved on the previous ones actually, just sooooooo long, and I could have wiped off the last 30 minutes with one minor logical rewrite:

Why on Earth did they piss around with a seed-bomb in a car trying to get out of Hong Kong when they had a flying dinosaur robot who could have done it in 2 minutes... Unforgiveable. If you dont want a gaping plot-hole in a bad script, then don't introduce a flying robot-dinosaur, that's always been my motto!

2 out of 10, one for Kelsey grammar, 1 for the cinematography.

Sorry!

I watched this movie with my friends yesterday. I used to watch the animation series when I was kid. "Transformers" was my favourite animation in my first 8-9 years of childhood. I have also watched the previous three movies but I don't remember all the details from the previous movies. I feel that someone erased them in my mind. :P I remember only "the performances" of Megan Fox and Rosie Huntington. They weren't bad movies but they were not something special too (The third movie was quite bad). The new one doesn't have a different philosophy but it's very spectacular!! It's the most impressive Transformer movie so far!!

Michael Bay is the director of the movie for the fourth consecutive time. Many critics and movie-goers blame him around the world because of his direction (he edits almost every second). At the end of the day, he got the last laugh because he has millions of dollars in his account (their faves could neva). However, we have to admit that his movies are always amazing!! I have watched the majority of his films (Bad Boys, The Rock, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, Bad Boys II, The Island and the three Transformers movies) and I enjoyed all of them. They had action with many disasters and many explosions! So, Tranformers 4 belongs to the same league too. The acting couldn't be better for a blockbuster and Mark Wahlberg was much better than pretentious Shia Labeouf (Do you remember him in Cannes?). We couldn't say that the scipt was the best thing of this movie (Another conspirancy theory) but it has a lot of funny dialogue which made us laugh through the movie (Stanley Tucci and T.J.Miller were the best). The visual and sound effects were exceptionally good! Maybe "Transformers 4" will have some nominations in the Golden Razzies (They "love" Michael Bay) but I'm sure that it will have some nominations in the Oscars too (Techinical Categories). As regards to the rest of the film, the photography was awesome and the soundtrack was very good!!

Transformers is already No.1 in many countries all around the world!! It has astronomical numbers in China and it's already the highest-grossing movie there!!! The movie has also a low score in IMDB (6.3) which I regard as unfair for this movie (All the bigheads have an account in IMDB). Transformers 4 was one the most fascinating movies this summer!! It had so many extraordinary scenes and the time passes pleasantly even though it's 165 minutes.
