Posted March 10, 201411 yr gUhRKVIjJtw "Mo Money Mo Problems" is a single by Notorious B.I.G., the second single from his album Life After Death. Released posthumously, the single topped the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in 1997, replacing "I'll Be Missing You" from the chart, Puff Daddy's song about Notorious B.I.G's death. The song is Notorious B.I.G.'s second posthumous number one single, following "Hypnotize", making him the only artist in Hot 100 History to have two #1 singles posthumously. It was the sixth song to hit #1 posthumously for a credited artist. The song was nominated for the 1998 Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group. The song features guest vocals from Mase and Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs. The instrumental contains a sample of the Diana Ross song "I'm Coming Out", including backing vocals of "I'm, coming, out". The refrain of the song was sung by Kelly Price. Based on airplay and chart success the song is considered one of the most popular singles in hip hop history. Edited April 16, 201411 yr by G R ‽ F F
March 10, 201411 yr Love this so so much. One of the most uplifting songs I've ever heard and the sample doesn't distract the flow of the song as well, unlike the new Flo Rida song. The video as well
March 10, 201411 yr YASSSSSS at this. And starting with one of my favourites of ALL TIME. Special, special song  (hoping to rediscover some gems from this so don't let it die after one week)
March 11, 201411 yr This is the first time I've actually heard this song. Sounding good though :music:
March 12, 201411 yr Absolute classic this. Haven't heard this in years. Thanks for bringing this anthem back.
March 13, 201411 yr Do you ever wish you could have paid attention to his music while he was still alive? Because I do!
March 13, 201411 yr YES GRIFF. DO THAT. OMG at this. I heard this for the first time in AAAAGES yesterday (on HeartTV no less, was hopping channels but then this was on). Such a classic. Puff Daddy/P Diddy/Diddy/Whatever he goes by is actually better than I give him credit for. He's been on so many classics for me. Notorious B.I.G. not heard/don't recognise like half of his tracks bar 'Hypnotize', 'Nasty Girl' & this. Also; brilliant use of a sample. I hope you're picking your OWN classics Griff and not ones you find on Kisstory :kink:

March 13, 201411 yr My mother always told me to ignore the trolls that lived under the urban bridge. w3KOowB4k_k "Honey" is a song by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey from her sixth studio album, Butterfly. It was released as the lead single from the album on August 26, 1997. The song was written by Carey, Puff Daddy, Q-Tip and Stevie J, all of whom served as the song's producers as well. It samples "Hey DJ" by the World's Famous Supreme Team, and "The Body Rock" by the Treacherous Three. "Honey" was a re-defining song in Carey's career, pushing her further into hip-hop world. The song's lyrics describe the feeling the protagonist feels towards her lover, and compares the sensation to honey, and its overbearing sweetness. The song was universally acclaimed by contemporary music critics, who called Carey's musical transition "genuine". The song experienced strong success in the United States, becoming Carey's third single to debut atop the Billboard Hot 100, a feat that has yet to be duplicated. The song stayed at number one for three weeks. "Honey" also reached number one in Canada, and hit the top ten in Australia, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. In other most European countries, the song charted outside the top ten, not matching the success of Carey's previous singles. "Honey" was nominated for two Grammy Awards at the 1998 Grammy Awards, for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song. The song did not win either nomination. Carey included the song in the set-list of various live shows and future tours, where she would sing both the original and remix versions. "Honey" is well known for its accompanying music video, which presented a more sexual and less conservative image of Carey than had been previously seen. The video features Carey being held hostage in a mansion, which she escapes in a James Bond-themed plot. Subsequent scenes see Carey escaping her assailants on a watercraft, dancing aboard a ship with sailors, and frolicking on a beautiful island with her lover. The video garnered much controversy, as many comparisons were made between the video and the rumors of Carey's failing marriage. While Carey denied the comparisons were anything more than coincidence, many close friends including Walter Afanasieff, Carey's writing partner, felt they were more than obvious.
March 13, 201411 yr The piano line just MAKES the song for me, her second best after #Beautiful. The video as well *.*
March 13, 201411 yr Not one of my personal favourites, but it's still so good! 'Heartbreaker', 'Hero' and 'Always Be My Baby' are my favourite pre-Glitter Mariah Carey! So smooth and just beautiful to listen to!
