So Solid Crew - 21 Seconds

Afroman - Because I Got High

These two songs would definitely be hits now I think, especially Because I Got High that would be number 1 again if it was released newly.

How about a number one and a million seller - "Killing Me Softly" by Fugees

Woah there, Killing me softly still sounds amazing and Miss Hill's voice is simply stunning.

Babycakes :kink:

That was such a Jam

^You're right Cameron

Daniel Bedingfield - Never Gonna Leave Your Side

Stiltskin - Inside

Babylon Zoo - Spaceman

Mr. Oizo - Flat Beat

Or pretty much any other song featured in a popular advert.

Axel F- Crazy Frog

I have to disagree on this one. I can remember this being talked about all the time at school, everyone had it as a ringtone, it was just inescapable! If it had that impact if released today then I could definitely see it going to #1. Even now it's probably something people will remember if they think back to the Noughties.

I was just about to say I could imagine "Spaceman" being big now, but just gave it a listen again for the first time in ages and it sounds incredibly dated. To the point where the least dated bit is the grunge-y chorus.

All of Westlife's cover songs and basically all their no.1s.

Just Like a Pill, clearly Put A Needle On It should've got the number 1 that week and I think in today's charts it would.

Spiller, Groovejet. Really don't get this. The TIMELESS number to BEHIND IT would still slay today however, unlike that song which has not aged well at all.

Crazyfrog too.

Robbie Williams Radio

Kylie Minogue On a Neet Like Dis might do it though today.

It's funny because I think basically the exact opposite of this. Groovejet probably wouldn't be a #1 today, but I doubt anyone would buy Out Of Your Mind at all - or at least, I think the former is a classic whilst barely anybody remembers the latter. Also, Sophie Ellis-Bextor is more relevant than Victoria Beckham!

Oh you wish, at least VB can sing without talking all the lyrics!

VB is extremely relevant, on the Spice tour she got the loudest cheers! Could Sophie Ellis Bexter ever do a fll worldwide tour like VB did as recently as uh some recent year?

And Out of Your Mind is a classic tune, everyone always says, 'this is alright actually', 'wait, this is VB?', you know, as the press poisoned people against her out of jealousy and praised SEB again for the same motives against VB, that is how relevant and ratchet she is.

VB's only studio album did significantly worse than that also, and her second album got cancelled.

Needless to say she bankrupted her record label and they had to fold, leaving all-time greats like Mis-Teeq and The Cheeky Girls without a deal.

No it didn't.

In fact it was the cost of buying her contract in the first place which did it!

And her album was a smash in the low 2000s sales climate AND only 'cos the jealous press were all over it. She is so much better with much deeper music and part of a moderately successful worlwide band.

I still hear 'Groovejet' around a lot and it seems widely adored. I like it, but it's not a big favourite of mine and it's not the reason why I'm a fan of Sophie.

From the 90s:

Bombalurina- Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Bikini

Cliff Richard- Saviour's Day

The Bluebells- Young At Heart

Mr Blobby- Mr Blobby

Stiltskin- Inside

Manchester United- Come On You Reds!

Outhere Brothers- Don't Stop (Wiggle Wiggle)

Peter Andre- Flava

Just Like a Pill, clearly Put A Needle On It should've got the number 1 that week and I think in today's charts it would.

Put THE Needle On it wasn't even released that week

How about Black Legend's You See The Trouble With Me. Of all the Number 1's in the year 2000 this one has to be one of the most random. I'm not too sure how a track like this would do now, even though Dance music is doing very well in the charts at the moment.
