Doesn't look good for Not Giving Up.

Are they serious with Little Mix B-list for release week? It's for BBC Sports Relief!

Oh and re-releases from Chvrches, Bastille and Disclosure still being A-listed? What a joke.

how dare they support the current singles from acts that are popular with their audience

I am very surprised at R1 apparently snubbing 'Not Giving Up'... might still be added next week I guess but I was almost certain it'd be added today.

'Magic' sticking on the C-List also? :/

It seems they've always been about 2 weeks behind with 'Dark Horse'. They added it fairly late and are now promoting it to A-list after it has spent 4 weeks in the top 10 and seemingly peaked .

HAIM A-listed though!

I think it's more that 'Dark Horse' is 2 weeks AHEAD of everything - Radio 1's support of it has been more or less in line with their usual according to the track's impact date I think?

I don't even have an issue with re-releases, but when said tracks are doing precisely nothing chart-wise (Recover, Flaws) or have already peaked (twice), a la F For You, then they're really just clogging up the A-list. It just doesn't feel right seeing the likes of 'Air Balloon'/'Red Lights' etc being removed so soon when they're still relevant, whilst the aforementioned get to stay.

Radio One seemingly haven't given Not Giving Up a single spin, so I'm not sure why people are surprised it's snubbed...

The bigger problem is that every single other station seems to have snubbed it.

Well they usually adjust according to how the song is faring in sales I would have thought. Judging by the way they usually operate, it'd make sense for it to be promoted to A-list a fortnight ago or last week when it was climbing (if it was ever going to be promoted that is). Just seems late to only now begin hammering a song that's been top 20 for 6 weeks and has seemingly peaked in sales. Nice for Katy to get further longevity though.

Radio One have played ' Not Giving Up ' once - I still expected them to playlist the song though. I'm very surprised that Capital seem to be snubbing 'Not Giving Up' judging by the type of song.

Disco Love didin't flop by any means!

Yay for Martin Garrix reaching the A-List. :cheer:

Pleasing additions this week for Jakwob, John Newman, and Sigma. :D

Some of those songs have definitely had their day though. Midnight Memories, Shot Me Down and F For You in particular.

They play either Disco Love or What About Us every day, despite the releases being 6 months to a year in the past, so it is surprising they've decided to snub the song that is actually closest to fitting in with their audience.

Yay for Sigma and Iggy.

And as much as i LOVE 'Not Giving Up' it is more of the same from them, so i wouldn't berate Radio 1 too much for snubbing them. The playlist is very varied right now, they probably don't want to clog it up with more generic pop? And the same with Capital; even though it fits the bill for the music the play, they probably want to play similar songs that are already proving to be popular with their listeners.
