I hate phones and stuff at gigs. Usually just get in my bloody way!

So yeah I'll be respecting those wishes.

Absolutely. I can't remember ever taking my phone out at a gig.
Kate Bush night on BBC4 tonight. A documentary at 9.10 followed by various BBC performances an hour later. A chance for people with tickets to get in the mood and for those of us without to feel jealous.

Tickets should have been issued on the basis of the date you first bought a Kate Bush record.

Feb/March 1978.

Not jealous at all.....

That would be about the time I first bought a Kate Bush record (and, of course, it was a record, not a CD, cassette or download) as well.
1994 when I got The Red Shoes and later that year The Hounds of Love.

The top 30 in the Amazon Movers & Shakers chart is currently dominated by La Bush :D

I enjoyed the documentary and performance compilation thing last night, missed them the first time they were on but they were repeated in the early morning when I went to bed! I loved hearing other people talk about how absolutely magical Wuthering Heights, Running Up That Hill and her voice in general are <3
What I loved was how varied the people who contributed from Nigel Kennedy to Big Boi to St Vincent to (of course!) Tori Amos.

Yep, The Whole Story is well out of date but is at No.15 in this week's album chart following Friday's BBC4 show! Rumours of a new hits compilation in time for Christmas and also a DVD of performances from the shows.

You lucky, lucky thing :o

I'm sure they are not alone but the Guardian are doing a live blog from the gig. Obviously, if you don't want to know anything about the show before you go (if you are one of the lucky ones), don't read it.

Apparently the BBC News website think that the fact that she opened her set with the song "Lily" is an important enough story to warrant a "Breaking News" story at the top of their homepage. I know it's interesting to know, but surely a tad overkill.

To be fair, they often have similarly inconsequential news with a Breaking News tag. After all, it is news and it is breaking.
