'Fancy' doing so well! I can't remember how 'Change Your Life' or 'Bounce' were holding up in comparison (I don't think they were as high as this so early on, were they? :unsure:) so I'm hoping this can peak at least around #7 and have another week or so in the top 10, with it holding up better than either CYL or 'Bounce' did. (Even though I prefer CYL.)

 

Bounce had an EP pre-order so it's hard to compare but it wasn't doing *amazingly* well I don't think. Fancy's definitely a fair bit higher than Change Your Life was! That certainly wasn't top 200 at this point I'm sure.

 

Another single pre-order that's doing very well is The Vamps'. It's held up in the top 250 or so since release, something Wild Heart didn't manage to do I'm sure. Can see this being #2 in a couple of weeks (especially as they have physicals, an EP and other versions), behind Sigma of course.

Must admit, 'Fancy' is actually pretty catchy! I keep finding myself singing the main hook.

Is that new Passenger track a preorder or a new release?

I've loved it for a good 6 or 7 months now, and he's been in my avatar the whole time! The video is hauntingly brilliant too. Happy to spread the wonderful Hozier gospel :D

 

Very good choice of avatar - I like! Been here 3 years and still haven't gotten myself an avatar - need to sort that out! Oh, the video to "Take Me To Church" is superb! There's wonderful imagery in it. I've been in love with this song for a few months myself, haven't gotten sick of it at all like I sometimes do with songs I initially love, in fact I just love it all the more! Great to see it continuing to climb in the recent updates! The spreading of the gospel of Hozier seems to be doing the trick :wub:

As much as I like the Sigma song, I would much prefer Last Night getting there so it'd be amazing if this could happen. Nobody To Love's been selling a lot better on pre-orders though, although The Vamps do have their many versions. I predict they'll be midweek #1 but drop to #2 on Sunday I think.

I think 'Fancy' will be number 5 after The Vamps, Sigma, Aloe and John Martin. It's going to be a high selling top ten, that week and I'm predicting it'll be the week 'Happy' leaves the top ten.

Ooh thanks, I didn't know that, I must check that out on the Radio 1 player! Great to see Hozier's doing promo in the UK. Hopefully this will propel Take Me To Church higher up the chart :cheer:

They could be as low as 8 by the end of the day, the way it's falling. Do they have any UK promo this week? It'll be bad if they're already out of the iTunes top ten when their number 1 is announced on Sunday.

Looks like their chart run isn't going to look so perfect.

I know they have a HUGE lead in the mid-weeks, but if they drop out the top 10 on iTunes by the end of the week surely they might miss out?

^ I don't think it's possible, Unless Duke gets a crazy weekend surge, but even then, the 45k lead from yesterday seems unlikely to overtake, even with 5SOS selling as little as 1 - 3k a day.

 

I expected R1 to B-list this, not C-list it. C-list gets very little plays. The drop from 1 is going to be bad - I know lots of people are saying they'll have top 10 locked for next week, but I can't see it myself.

I dread to think where they'll be this time next week. I think there's like 2 massive new songs from Aloe, John Martin which will knock them out on Sunday seeing as they will slip to 9 by later today/tomorrow.

 

It's a catchy pop song though so hopefully not too big a fall.

They look set to drop to 9 by the weekend and Aloe Blacc, John Martin & perhaps Klaxons will probably all push them down further next week, can't see how they're gonna stay top 10 next week as it stands.
