'Kids Again' already out of the top 40 :x

Oh dear, poor Example. Great for Kylie to get another week in the Top 40 though, only down 4 places :)

They've become big by playing as a 1D support act AFAIA, but that still leaves the question of A) how did they get that gig in the first place and B) how did that translate into enough support to get their EP pre-order to #1 before the song had premiered... with their DEBUT single? (Also C) what the hell did they perform as a 1D support act when they had no songs? Just covers? :P)

They did put out two EPs in 2012 (which sound nothing like this song incidentally :P) over here, the latter of which was a moderately steady seller though it never got them into the chart. I'm guessing it's not on UK iTunes? I have no idea how random boybands seem to amass fanbases but I can only assume rapid word-of-mouth.

Kylie will struggle to remain top 10 in the album chart and top 40 in the singles.

 

Michael Buble is one of the few artists who sells in multiple markets, christmas, valentines and now mothers day.

 

Gary Barlow jumping back into the top 20 was the highlight of this particular chart update. :w00t:

I'm still confused how they amassed those sales in just 3 days :( 71k is just too much for that track :(

In relation to B) I would guess Niall Horan's Twitter account, such is his power over us all :mellow:.

Maybe they're the new Vamps?

It's just such a mediocre track. The Vamps, who I liken them to, have basically made the same song three times but all three have been more fun and catchy than this.

Anyone know how many sales george michael is ahead of number 4 album in the charts, i have read a few thousand and also a couple of hundred so i am a bit confused.

Looks like Kylie will struggle to keep her top 10 album spot.... 7th yesterday , now 9th and dropping..

Into The Blue also dropping and will be out of top 40 by now I am sure.... already mid 40's on iTunes... she is singing it on The Voice with her mentorees but it maybe to late to save it.....

 

I think KMO will do OK next week as she will perform on The Voice + Graham Norton etc.

Can Abdul Fareek's pledge to be banned for a month actually be put into place if this does go to #1 on Sunday? That'd be one good thing to come out of this at least. :dance:

I think there's so much overreacting happening in this thread. She Looks So Perfect won't be to everyone's tastes but it's hardly the worst thing ever and there's no way it's gonna drop out of the top 10 IMO. Could understand that if it didn't have radio support but with Capital and music channels behind it, as well as Radio 1 c-list support from next week, it should ensure it has some longevity and sells decently.
