Most people think(and i agree)that he should be left in the past. She needs to grow and she can't do that with someone whose production got dated and boring in 2012.

I feel like this is what I want from the album at this point: the best of both worlds. I think at this point people are gonna look at her first album and think "OMG NOSTALGIA #throwbackthursday" and maybe they want the RedOne stuff. But I also want Gaga to grow as an artist and the country and Bollywood inspirations are very left-field and eclectic and that's what she excels at. All that matters is that she encapsulates her vision in this album as much as she wants.

I'm done with Redone, he was good while it lasted but if he made 8 songs for the album and only 1 made the final cut doesn't that speak volumes? I'd rather Gaga work with various producers throughout her career than limit herself to one has been producer.

I'm surprised to see you guys seeming so confident that the fanbase as a whole wants Gaga back with RedOne. I'm pretty sure Gaga has one of the most divided fanbases in terms of what they want their artist to do, and that includes there being a huge contingent of people who think she needs to grow and do different things rather than look backwards to her empirical phase. RedOnexGaga was magic in 2009 and we all love the classics but I feel like people would be a lot less enamoured with the idea of them working together if their collaborations weren't once so successful; I think a lot of Gaga fans want her back with RedOne just because they think it's her best chance of getting the public back on board.

 

Over the years it's been proven quite well that Gaga is really happy to work with RedOne and tries to make it work, primarily because of fan/label demand, but the fact that so little has come of their modern attempts at working together probably suggests that the magic isn't really there anymore. There has to be a reason she makes so little use of what they make together and that's probably something to with the Gaga of 2016 not having a huge amount in common with the Gaga of 2009. RedOne's a very static producer which is why he feels so dated at this point and that's poles apart from Gaga, who is always in a state of evolution.

 

I feel quite bad for her when RedOne discussions come up because it most be so frustrating to have a fanbase who fixates so heavily on one person you've collaborated with and seems to have so little respect for the work you've done with other people. Imagine if Britney fans come Blackout were screaming for her to work with Max Martin and make another BOMT?

One more thing: RedOne's last major hit was 'Starships'. 'Pound The Alarm' if you want to be generous.

there's going to be two versions of one song (angel down i think), as bonus tracks (or one of them). The original version with redone, and then the version with mark ronson. A tweet said the one produced by the both of them sounds like "get together" by madonna and is a dance club track
