Apparently the spokesperson kept saying 8 points to Greece and when repeatedly told those votes were wrong they just made Jon Ola Sand read the votes instead! :o

^ surely they should get in trouble for this ? That country gets away with too much in this contest.

Annnnd I hope they don't early announce the winner as that is the worst thing to ever happen to the contest. Is this the ebu or host broadcaster's choice.

This is the final rehearsal, it's a complete dry run for the contest to make sure everything will work perfectly on the night. That includes voting. They have to run through a full voting simulation to check the scoreboard works and all the graphics and timing are spot on. There is literally not a live (non-sporting) event broadcast anywhere in the world where a full rehearsal like this isn't run.

 

There is absolutely tonnes to check! Today I got an email inviting me to be part of the audience or take part in the dry run for the Swimming at the Commonwealth Games. They are doing a full broadcast rehearsal in the venue including medal ceremonies literally just before the games begins.

I guess that was Sabina Babayeva for Azerbaijan who's announcing the real votes? Disappointing...

I was there last night! Molly nailed it and it does indeed have a winning vibe.

In today's dress rehearsal, Azerbaijan have caused more drama during the voting! And this time we have a video!

 

 

Sabina should have at least chosen a country that was in the final, she must have been a fan of Kasey! :lol:

Really though, they need to just behave. I wouldn't particularly miss them if they were to leave.

Yes, I believe the producers just give each spokesperson a random set of points to give out to test out the voting process. I assume they keep telling Azerbaijan to give points to Armenia to see what would happen if such a situation happened tonight!

Thankfully that situation has no chance of arising. Didn't they take people who voted for Armenia into questioning in the past?

Also, if anyone can't wait to see what the UK performance looks like on TV, here is a video from today's dress rehearsal. Molly does have 'golden rain' at the end of the performance but they haven't used it in this rehearsal so don't worry, it will be there tonight.

 

A couple of people on ESC Forum are saying that Sabina is deliberately given the wrong votes compared to what the producers have so they can rehearse such a scenario, but the fact Armenia was mentioned last night leads me to believe it was a similar situation today.

I hope it's slightly better tonight, they didn't seem to be able to get their words out when announcing which country is next to vote.
