I find Katy Perry the hardest artist to say which is my favourite single because I genuinely love all of her singles! I went for 'Wide Awake' in the end but 'I Kissed A Girl', 'California Gurls', 'Firework', 'E.T.', 'Roar' and 'Unconditionally' are all close behind!

It's so hard to pick one, her singles are so good

Waking Up In Vegas. It should have been a top 5 smash. The radios weren't playing it for long enough here. Glad it went double platinum in the US though.

Once she releases 'Walking on Air' (I won't shut up about it) it will be that but for now it's either 'E.T.' (Kanye version) or 'Dark Horse'. Went with the latter.

I have randomly started to appreciate Part Of Me again, sure it is nothing groundbreaking but it is a really solid pop song imo.

You're just bitter your fave was poised to be queen of pop then flopped and was surpassed by the enw generation.

Madonna didn't get #1 single after #1 single. She created albums that have stood the test of time decades later and changed pop music forever in terms of the actual songs, but also visually and sonically while constantly transforming, which is where her legacy lies - something which i don't think we'll ever get again. We got very brief glimpses of it from Gaga and if she can still continue to excite and change the formula then she'll come close to being "the next Madonna" or however you want to coin it but we won't be able to judge that until ~15 years in the future. No one has come close to Madonna since except maybe Britney particularly if she can continue her career for the next decade despite some blips; certainly not Katy at the moment, despite her being an insanely popular and successful female pop star which we can't deny.
