02 Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea - Problem (tune, I know this would be a hit from the first time I heard it!)

03 Oliver Heldens ft. Becky Hill - Gecko (Overdrive) (most probably the best dance song of the year)

04 Rita Ora - I Will Never Let You Down (tune, hope there's more like this on the album, even though Calvin's stuff has to be scrapped)

05 Clean Bandit ft. Jess Glynne - Rather Be (glorious <3)

06 Meghan Trainor - All About That Bass (such a fun catchy pop song)

07 Sigma ft. Paloma Faith - Changing (Paloma needs to do more dance songs, what an anthem)

Thanks, Calvin, you have ruined John Newman, who was my favourite artist for 2013, for me. I never thought I would be yelling every week at a John Newman song to boot out of the top 40, but I am. Life is full of surprises, and this was a very bad one, for all the wrong reasons.

I am NOT in crazy stupid love with this. Period.

◾29. Nico & Vinz - Am I Wrong?

It's not a bad song, but a bit annoying.

This one is actually quite enjoyable, but not very good.

I liked this when it first came out. Fast forward 25 weeks later, and I can barely stand it.

Another one of the works of Gareth Malone. Better than the horrible, excruciating Wherever You Are, but inferior to Sing (all three of them)

This sounds anything but perfect.

Another song ruined by the fact I've heard it too many times. But, I had the same issue with Ho Hey and How Long Will I Love You, both which I enjoy today, so maybe I'll like it again someday.

And now we descend to the garbage. However, on the plus side, in the rest of the top 5 were three songs who had been number one anyway (My Love, Happy and Rather Be) and I'm A Freak, which was even worse than this, so at least this tripe didn't stop any song that deserved to be number one from reaching it :cheer: .

◾37. Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz - Prayer In C (Robin Schulz Remix) :lame: (tell me when there'll be a emoticon of someone going around in circles)

Some songs are annoying because they've been ruined by overexposure (i.e. Thinking Out Loud). Some, on the other hand, are annoying simply because they're inexplicably popular repetitive tripe that has to die. And what annoys me even more about this is that the amazing Won't Look Back (#2), Superheroes (#3), I'm Not The Only One (#5 that week, peaked at #3), and the very good Black Widow (#4) were the top five in its second week at number one. All four of those songs would have deserved the top spot, but were held off by this garbage :angry: . I am praying that I will never have to hear this song again. Oh, and quick fact, Robin Schulz remixed the track WITHOUT permission.

◾38. will.i.am. feat. Cody Wise - It's My Birthday

And here we are: the worst number one of 2014: a song that will ruin your birthday - pun intended - if you hear it: It's My Birthday. will.i.am. can be hit or miss sometimes, but this is probably his worst song. I think Cody would have been Wise to not have himself credited for this.
