But let's be honest we can all only go on the VT's so far & guarantee half of the VT's are exaggerated & the HMs will be nothing like they acted.

i missed the launch of the show (thanks to channel 4's commedy gala), but that's what i'm going to do today. watch the launch. i recorded it

Mark and Danielle are the only ones I dislike at the moment. I remember Mark from Shipwrecked and he was whiny and annoying on that so doubt he'll be any different here. I don't agree with Danielle's views so naturally I dislike her, she could have some redeeming features but I doubt it.

Not sure what to think of the housemates. It looks like it'll be very interesting/exciting to watch but there's a distinct lack of actual likeable ones (at this stage, I only like 2!). HOWEVER, I did dislike Gina when she first went in so it's far too early to tell.

 

I'm not too keen on Mark though, the Scouse accent in addition to his way over-the-top nature doesn't mix too well for me. Also, that he seems to be a reality TV whore what with his apparent appearances on Shipwrecked and The X Factor. As I said before, I'm not here for wannabes.

I dont like the idea of Pauline choosing who goes in, would mean if we get a Gina type she would not get a chance :(.

Oh and Kimberly is easily my favourite. I like Pauline right now too but have a feeling she will turn into a Becky or Shievonne tbh.

This cast is, in my mind. Terrible.

 

Apparently all you need to say to get on this show now is that you're argumentative and you have opinions. Or be a Model/Something Corporate.

This cast, just based on VTs is sooooo different from anything we've had before.

 

However, halfway through the launch - I realized this cast would be perfect for BBUS.

They all seem very self assured, cocky, arrogant. Perfect for BBUS.

 

I'm really hoping they actually GIVE THE HOUSEMATES POWER. It could work really well for this cast.

I guess we still have 6 to go..

I don't necessarily agree with you there, but from everything emerging already, it's kind of annoying how everyone seems to have some very small form of fame before hand.

I'm not happy about that either, especially with Dexter already knowing (at least) two of them. It's like theres this inner circle of 'nearly but not even z-list' celebs.

 

I'm still not sure how I feel about the housemates :lol: I think it's because they've never done this sort of thing before ie the majority of the housemates being openly willing to play the game and be villains. I do think it has the chance to make really good viewing if the housemates live up to their potential but I do have a feeling of uneasiness surrounding them. I suppose there are 6 more housemates to come though and they surely can't bring in more arrogant businessmen/woman.

 

Anyway, it's only been the launch night, it's too early to tell. Bring on the next 10/11 weeks!

I completely agree. I was really taken aback by his level of popularity with the crowd based off that VT. I understand everything he said was in a light-hearted, joking manner but implying all women who reject him must be lesbians etc. = a bit of an immature prick in my book. Interestingly (but not surprisingly), Tamara objectified men in a similar way yet received heavy boos from the crowd.

Told myself I wouldn't watch this series yet I've caught up on Demand5 already lol. Pauline is an instant fave but I don't think she'll go rotten like Shievonne or Julie Goodyear. Interested to see who the beauty vlogger is entering tonight...
