What's so bad about featuring artists? I can see how the Sean Paul feature in Dangerous Love can be seen as pointless, but in the case of Clean Bandit, if they didn't have a featured artist then there'd be no vocals on the track :P

It's just a collection of fake cover versions trying to scam people out of their money by thinking they're the real songs. They usually leave the chart quickly after the real versions come out but sometimes they stick around a bit (the New Music Masters version of 'I Love It' by Icona Pop actually spent several weeks in the top 100 after the release of the original).

I know it's a fake cover album but it's not even good, it's just some people screeching to a beat, and why is their waves top 300 if waves is already out. i suppose it could be similar to icona pop like you said, but their covers are awful..

It'll be because people are wanting to buy Waves but don't know what it's called and so are searching 'Slowly Drifting' (I'm guessing it's Waves that's the one in the Top 300).

That's probably it (after all the Icona Pop fake was probably mostly selling because it comes up when you search for 'i don't care i love it' while the original doesn't).

Typical its a quiet week, as next weekend its Radio 1 One Big Weekend, the chart show is going to be a condensed to an hour or so, Radio 1 seem to know when to pick those One Big Weekends.

Radio 1 just choose the late May bank holiday weekend to do their big weekend.

Stay With Me is way better than MOMM so i'm happy for Sam Smith :D

Hope Coldplay's 'Midnight' can go top 40 this week now it's fully eligible for the chart although I expect it'll start to fall quite a bit once it stops getting the free 'sales' from album pre-orders.

 

(Also I'm pretty sure the Jack White song will be ineligible but it's hard to tell of course, as you can't see what song is meant to be 'nominated').

 

I see 'Stay With Me' has a second version (from the EP) climbing fairly quickly! to #69.

Delighted to see Clean Bandit :heart: safely ensconced in the top ten given that the pre-order wasn't pulling up any trees! :cheer:
