Is Ellie performing on BGT this week?

Nope, I was rather surprised at that. I'm guessing she was slowly becoming the new Emeli Sande so decided against it! I can almost certainly to see Ellie missing the top 10 this week though (currently #31). I'm sure Twin Atlantic & Lana will go top 10 before her.

17. Twin Atlantic - Heart And Soul

22. Lana Del Rey - West Coast

Thanks! I thought I'd read a while ago that she would but could only find one place saying so the other day. (I don't like the song so I have to say I'm glad )

pre-order update

74. Sing - Ed Sheeran

300. Chandelier - Sia

329. Here For You (feat. Laura Welsh) - Gorgon City

369. Wasted (feat. Matthew Koma) - Tiësto

446. Half Light (feat. Tom Cane) - Wilkinson

580. Budapest - George Ezra

604. Don't Stop - 5 Seconds of Summer

1119. That's Not Me (feat. JME) [Radio Edit Explicit] - Skepta

1370. Classic - MKTO

MKTO's 'Classic' up for pre-order. :drama: It was definitely actually released last year (and almost made the Top 100 on iTunes briefly). If there's an MKTO song that should be pushed, it should have been 'Thank You'. I do like 'Classic' though!
Shocked to see Twin Atlatic ahead of the international stars that are Lana Del Rey and Ellie Goulding. By no means a particularly pop-y track, so surprised to see it doinh so well - good for them though!

Well the top 100 singles feed seems to be permanently busted :( Oddly the albums one still seems to be working though.

1. I Wanna Feel (Radio Edit) - Secondcity

5. Jubel - Klingande

13. Heart and Soul - Twin Atlantic

17. West Coast - Lana Del Rey

23. Beating Heart - Ellie Goulding

You must be kidding. It's practically a One Direction song.

Good to see Twin Atlanitic so high! Shame 'Free' couldn't get this high, but great to see them get some chart success.

Second City at Number 1. Not too sure how I feel about this track. I first heard it back in February, and it still hasn't properly grown on me.

At this rate it looks like Klingande might just clip #4 officially. :drama:

(Speaking of which, how do you pronounce that?)

Just to let you know as we'll be getting a much reduced chart show this afternoon we'll start the thread between 4 and 4.30 and see what we get.

Jubel #4!

The original mix is #159 too and has been climbing quickly.

do we not know when the chart show is starting? I don't wanna sit through lots of big weekend crap just so I don't miss any chart show action.
Of all the bands to have some singles success this year I certainly wouldn't have expected Twin Atlantic and there's been far better songs chart far lower. Double injustice if Kasabian flop next week (?), although the pre-order finally breaking the top 1000 again is at least something.

I'm not sure how exactly 'Klingande' is pronounced, but I suspect more people will mispronounce 'Jubel' anyway (as it's a word beginning with 'J' in a language that is not English I'm 99% confident it's meant to be pronounced 'yoo-bel' but no one will realise this :P)

Strangely despite Klingande being French, both 'Klingande' and 'Jubel' are Swedish words.

I've been pronouncing it like 'clin-gan-day' and 'joo-bell' but I'm not sure if that's right or not.

I think it's actually pronounced as a J. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpIzE94xcFk&t=3s is one half of Klingande saying the title that way and Google Translate agrees. Regardless it's not a very English-friendly pronunciation
