May 26, 201411 yr 5 Seconds of Summer don't count as a big release? I think they could possibly go to #1. I'm just looking forward to seeing their massive second week fall but they've got that Capital Summertime Ball promo so sadly that will give them more sales I think Oliver Heldens could get 2 weeks, Ed Sheeran could do it depending on how good the Cheryl single is. What's the record for the most consecutive number ones, we must be getting close to beating that!

Previous record was in 2000 from Black Legend's You See The Trouble With Me to A1's Take Of Me. 12 one-weekers. At the moment we are at 14 changes, although Waves breaks the chain for the whole list being different songs.
May 27, 201411 yr Is Chandelier really a potential no 1? Radio stations aren't touching it. I guess its iTunes preorders is down to the video exposure

May 27, 201411 yr Chandelier sounds like a big hit, I just hope radio latch onto it as without their support it'll only go top 10 (which is still good by the way as it'll be her highest charting single as a lead artist)
May 27, 201411 yr It's got quite a while to go, Radio 1 and the like still have plenty of time to playlist it... Only a month though. Radio 1's playlist tomorrow would have to have it down as a new addition if it's going to #1.

She's one of those arists that I'd always loved but figured would always be criminally overlooked and never have any success to speak of. What's happened to her career in the past three years is mindblowing to me.

It's usually about 3 weeks before release when they playlist things so I'm not sure it will appear tomorrow, maybe next week. Although having said that I will be keeping an eye out for it tomorrow. Although having said that I will be keeping an eye out for it tomorrow. I really don't see Sia getting anywhere near number one especially as she's still not on the list, maybe she's too old to playlist the track. I really like the track and it deserves to do well but we're probably looking at top 20 at best! Though it wouldn't surprise me if it does chart well on the midweeks if they put her on the C list for one week than drop it for whatever 5 Vamps of Direction group they choose to support! (That attempt at a band name pun was a fail I know  ) Edited May 31, 201411 yr by James1987
May 31, 201411 yr I reckon Ella Henderson will get 2 weeks at number-one, with 5 Seconds of Summer just behind.
May 31, 201411 yr 'Problem' will likely be the next 2-weeker now that it's (sensibly) been pushed forward
