If the song is decent then it shouldn't matter who's featuring. This is a huge problem with Radio 1.

They wouldn't not playlist Avicii, he's such hot property right now and Radio 1 love him.

well if they're snubbing The Days because of Robbie Williams I just hope if the rumoured collabs with Billie Joe Armstrong and Jon Bon Jovi are true that he doesn't release those as singles, as Green Day/Bon Jovi don't get their new singles playlisted by R1.

 

Apparently he's done collabs with Chris Martin of Coldplay and Tom Odell so hopefully he releases one of those then R1 will surely be back on board.

Yeah that's what I think, they surely wouldn't snub him, regardless of who the featuring artist is.

yeah Dizzee was blacklisted after this happened. He really should've known better before making comments like that. Especially when R1 was his biggest supporter

Surprised Ariana was added so quickly - it's impact date isn't until Christmas chart week 15/12!

Tom Odell – Real Love is a definite, I'm sure.

 

I think they'll undoubtedly support Ella, personally. Her last single slightly under-performed in comparison to Ghost, but didn't do horribly. She still has one of the highest selling songs of the year, the album went to number 1 and this new song is already showing early promise.

 

I'd love for them to support Marina and The Diamonds - Froot, now is as good a time as any, it's already out and top 40 on iTunes. But I'm not sure what Marina's plans are in terms of impact dates etc, and who knows if R1 still want to support her.

It's out that soon?! Why haven't they added it already. They never add songs this late, so that's a bit worrying/odd?!

Hopefully they add both Sheppard's "Geronimo and Echosmith's "Cool Kids.

 

Both have been played at least twice on radio 1 and this would be the week if they do get added to match their release dates.

It is quite odd they haven't added Iggy yet, it doesn't seem likely that they'd snub her. Maybe it's been pushed back?

 

Marina could go either way, though I'd be inclined to think R1 will no longer support her.

Very odd indeed, especially since they're supporting MO at the moment too. But if they playlist it now, it'll only have one week until release. Can't remember ever seeing Radio 1 playlist something that late before?
