June 1, 201412 yr You & I missing top 20 :D Such a boring song. Lana can do better than West Coast, but I was hoping it would go top 20. oh well
June 1, 201412 yr S'up everyone. Just catching up. How anyone can describe 'Not A Bad Thing' as an atrocity is beyond me . Red Hot Chili Peppers vibe?! Was this something Jameela said about 'Magic'? Because my first thought when I heard the intro for the first time was that it was very like a Red Hot Chili Peppers song. Not sure if it's a particular one or just reminiscent of their general style. Love 'West Coast' after it grew on many listens. Silly single choice in commercial terms though.
June 1, 201412 yr Not top 20 :( But if it weren't for her name, I don't think a song like this would get anywhere near this high. I was underwhelmed by this at first, but now I LOVE it, ultimate grower
June 1, 201412 yr LANA SHOULD BE TOP 20. SO ANGRY. THE ONLY THING THAT WILL GET ME MORE ANNOYED IS IF IDINA IS IN 11 AGAIN OOOH BABY OOOH BABY IM IN LOVE ALBUM IN 15 DAYS- ULTRAVIOLENCE (LIKE MY NAME)
June 1, 201412 yr 20 14 08 Iggy Azalea Featuring Charli XCX Fancy The New Classic | 2014 http://a2.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Features6/v4/30/17/8b/30178be8-fafe-518b-b321-d11300591d35/dj.kjhnbgrk.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run: 5-9-11-9-10-10-14-20 Release date: 06-04-2014 Format: digital single Label: Virgin EMI Records Sales: 100k+ Video here: O-zpOMYRi0w Biography In one of the more unlikely crossover success stories, blonde Australian beauty Iggy Azalea (born Amethyst Amelia Kelly) segued from a high-profile modeling career to become a southern hip-hop star. Influenced in her childhood by Missy Elliott, TLC, and Tupac Shaqur, she moved to the states in 2006 at age 16, stating that she was drawn to the birthplace of rap. Moving from Miami to Houston to Atlanta, she absorbed the Southern-style drawl of her surroundings and released a trap-inspired mixtape titled Ignorant Art in 2011, shortly after relocating to Los Angeles. A video for her song "Pu$$y" was uploaded to the internet and became a YouTube favorite due to its explicit nature. Around this time, Azalea's blossoming relationship with rising rapper A$AP Rocky earned her some headlines (she tattooed the title of his debut album on her knuckles), but her recording career stalled when plans to work with T.I. fell through due to label conflicts. In spring of 2012, she signed to Wilhelmina Models International and pursued modeling full-time, landing a job as the "New Face of Levi's Jeans." Later that year, her musical stock skyrocketed when XXL Magazine put her on the cover of their annual Top 10 Freshman issue, alongside Danny Brown, Roscoe Dash, and French Montana. As the first female, non-American rapper to make the list, serious hip-hop fans took notice, including Diplo, who hooked up with Azalea for her follow-up mixtape, TrapGold, before she signed to Mercury Records for her official 2013 debut The New Classic. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): Iggy Azalea 2012 44 Beat Down (Steve Aoki & Angger Dimas Feat. Sales: 40k+ Video here: hiP14ED28CA Biography R&B vocalist Jason Derülo launched his career while still in his teens, first as a songwriter for other artists and later as a solo performer. Born to Haitian parents in Miramar, Florida, Derülo started singing at an early age. He attended performing arts schools in Florida and took some early stabs at music composition, writing his first song at the age of eight. His writing skills began attracting attention, and by his teenage years, Derülo had begun scribing tracks for artists like Lil Wayne, Pitbull, and Pleasure P. He also wrote "Bossy" for Birdman, a New Orleans-based rapper, and made a guest appearance on the song, which highlighted his ability as a vocalist. After signing to a subsidiary of Warner Bros., Derülo began making the transition from behind-the-scenes songwriter to mainstream performer. His first hit arrived during the summer of 2009, when he wrapped a sample of Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek" (a song made popular by its appearance in the second season finale of The O.C., as well as the Saturday Night Live sketch Dear Sister) around a sleek modern soul beat. Titled "Whatcha Say," the song topped the Billboard charts and cracked the Top Ten in multiple foreign countries, including Canada, Australia, Sweden, Switzerland, and the U.K. A second single, "In My Head," peaked at number five in America, and Derülo's full-length debut album arrived in early 2010. Future History followed in 2011, along with its hit single “Don't Wanna Go Home.” ~ Jason Thurston & Andrew Leahey, Rovi / iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): Jason Derulo 2009 03 Whatcha Say -1- 2010 01 In My Head -2- 2010 02 Ridin' Solo -3- 2010 12 What If -4- 2010 51 Coming Home (Pixie Lott Feat.
