Really grown to love 'Ghost' now after being unsure on first listen. Still keeping up the very high quality of (most of) these 1 week #1s.

 

Fabulous to see 'Salute' in the top 10! Hope it can climb to at least #9 before Tiësto knocks them out again, this really needs to be their first post-album top 10 hit :wub:

So happy for Ella, and finally, Little Mix are in the top 10!

 

Has Jennifer Lopez been getting any airplay with this single?

Yay Salute. :cheer: Doubt it'll make the top 10 officially, but at least it looks set to continue their top 20 post-album run.

 

Probably an unpopular opinion, but 'Wasted' is brilliant, so I'm hoping it goes top 5. Pleased for Ella too, not a huge fan of the song but it is undeniably catchy.

Great to see 'Salute' in the Top 10. :wub: Hopefully it can get there officially.

 

Pleased to see Ella at #1. Wasn't a fan of her on X Factor but 'Ghost' is really good. Her image as improved a lot as well.

Ghost is a really good song, I honestly would never have guessed otherwise that she came from X Factor. Wonder if this is a one off or if she'll actually make an impression as an artist.

I think there'll be a big campaign for Ella.

The 8st was clearly a reference to the weight of Kylie Minogue, the tiny little thing. No such 8st of June mistake!

I'm just now reading about a new single from Psy being released Monday, called 'Hangover' and featuring Snoop Dogg. Apparently it's OA/OS everywhere but I guess we won't really know until tomorrow.

 

The video is coming tomorrow too!

I can't BELIEVE that Ella Henderson song is going to #1. It's such a piss weak slice of NOTHING. Just when the British public had started to develop taste (and not just the dance either).

Tiësto up to #10. Poor Little Mix (although I guess they were already pushed out by Lana - hope they can get back up to #11 so they re-enter when Lana drops out :P EDIT: They are back to #11 again).

Pleased to see Ella Henderson at No.1, rather unusual for an X Factor finalist who didn't even reach the top five getting a chart topper but I'll never understand how she left the competition so early anyway (yes I know she was against James Arthur in her bottom two but how were they not the top two every week?).

 

It's a rather classy debut, a sort of midpoint between Leona Lewis and Adele.

There's obviously no way to prove it but I'm pretty sure Ella (and James before that week he was bottom 2) was an extreme case of people not voting for her because they thought she'd be safe. Just look at how James' votes massively increased after it became clear he wasn't safe. I really think Ella would have won instead if she had got through that bottom 2.

I think Ella needs a nice long lead, I'm just worried Ed Sheeran catching up mid week
