Posted September 6, 200619 yr Robbie single likely to miss top three Source: Music Week Robbie Williams’ new single Rudebox (Chrysalis) looks set to make an underwhelming full chart debut, according to early retail reports. The single, which was released physically this week after reaching number 30 in the chart on downloads, looks likely to miss the top three of the singles chart. By contrast, Scissor Sisters’ new single I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’ (Polydor) – currently at number four on download sales only – looks odds on to take the number one slot, outselling nearest competitor, Justin Timberlake’s Sexyback (Jive), by almost two to one. Nelly Furtado’s Promiscuous – currently at 15 on downloads only - also looks likely to reach the top three. Elsewhere, new singles from Lemar and Muse (the White Rabbit-issued It’s Not That Easy and the Helium 3 / Warner Bros-issued Starlight respectively) look likely to debut in or around the top ten and Jamelia looks set to enter the top 25 with her new single Something About You (Parlophone), released this week on download. ================================================================== Singles 1 Scissor Sisters - I Don't Feel Like Dancin' *Climber* 2 Justin Timberlake - SexyBack 3 Nelly Furtado feat. September 7, 200619 yr Author Woah, suprised JT heading for 40+ again! For some reason, your prayers were answered from the other mid thread
September 7, 200619 yr Author Can see a good few weeks at the top for Scissor Sisters then! At least another week, I think, The Killers track is #2 on the itunes chart, The Killers have got potential for the next #1 if not, Evanescence the following week.
September 7, 200619 yr At least another week, I think, The Killers track is #2 on the itunes chart, The Killers have got potential for the next #1 if not, Evanescence the following week. ! Now you mention it Killers have just gone up to No.1 on Itunes today!
September 7, 200619 yr The Killers won't be #1 - it is a rubbish comeback I'm sorry to say :( And besides Keane anyone? Oooh they'll so be #1 but yet only manage #3 -_- Then again depends how much the SS sales decline next week I can't see The Killers selling bucketloads or Ev either unfortunately :(
September 7, 200619 yr The thing with iTunes and other downloads is that it will make the big acts bigger and the small acts smaller...as soon as someone massive like Madonna, Kylie etc..releases a brand new lead single from an album it will shoot to No.1 even if barely anyone's heard it... Just look at Coldplay's Speed of Sound in the US. It went top 10 immediately from downloads and then dropped instantly after everyone had bought it out of curiosity. People don't mind paying 79p for a track they've never heard so these huge acts will have huge comebacks...
September 7, 200619 yr Well it doe'snt matter if Rudebox is 3 or 4, It's only 1 position less. ^_^ Shocked at the Killers success :o
September 7, 200619 yr Ugh what about songs outside the top20? Where is Jealousy and Supafly Inc, what a terrible week for info
