June 22, 201412 yr I thought this would do much better; I'm sure people were considering it a number 1 candidate a few weeks ago? Shame, as it's fantastic. It reminds me a little of 'Turn Back Time', probably why I'm so fond of it.
June 22, 201412 yr Demi has a voice far better than what those two songs require. Also Made In the USA was left out of her chart history. Chart histories are top 75 and that didn't make it.
June 22, 201412 yr 06 03 02 Tiësto Featuring Matthew Koma Wasted A Town Called Paradise | 2014 http://a5.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music/v4/61/e6/40/61e640c3-51a0-c7e3-b085-50ca57ebeeb2/14UMGIM11910.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run: 3-6 Release date: 08-06-2014 Format: digital single Label: Musical Freedom Label Sales: 40k+ Video here: AmEIemQfk34 Biography Tijs Michiel Verwest, born 17 January 1969), known as Tiësto (/tiˈɛstoʊ/ tee-ES-toh; Dutch pronunciation: [ˈcɛstoː]), is a Dutch musician, DJ and record producer of electronic dance music. Although he has used many aliases in the past, he is best known for his work as DJ Tiësto. On his latest productions, however, he has dropped the "DJ" label and is now known simply as "Tiësto", an artist name which is a twist of his childhood nickname. In 1997, he founded the label Black Hole Recordings with Arny Bink, where he released the Magik and In Search of Sunrise CD series. Tiësto met producer Dennis Waakop Reijers in 1998, and the two have worked together extensively since then. Reijers is credited as producer, writer, composer, or arranger on many of Tiësto's releases. In 1999 and 2000 Tiësto collaborated with Ferry Corsten to create Gouryella. His 2000 remix of Delerium's "Silence" featuring Sarah McLachlan exposed him to more mainstream audiences. In 2001, he released his first solo album In My Memory which gave him several major hits that launched his career. He ranked at #1 on DJ Magazine's annual Top 100 DJs Poll consecutively for three years from 2002 to 2004. Just after releasing his second studio album Just Be in 2004 at the Summer Olympics, he performed live at the opening ceremony in Athens, Greece, becoming the first DJ to play live on stage at an Olympics. Tracks he made especially for the Olympics were mixed together and released as the mix compilation Parade of the Athletes later that year. In April 2007 Tiësto launched both his radio show Tiësto's Club Life on Radio 538 in the Netherlands and released his third studio album Elements of Life. The album reached number one on the Dutch album chart as well on "Billboard Top Electronic Albums" in the U.S. and received a nomination for a Grammy Award in 2008. Tiësto released his fourth studio album Kaleidoscope in October 2009. - Wikipedia Chart history (Year peak title): Tiësto 2001 56 Flight 643 (DJ Tiësto) -1- 2001 22 Urban Train (DJ Tiësto) -2- 2002 25 Lethal Industry (DJ Tiësto) -3- 2002 36 643 (Love's On Fire) (DJ Tiësto Feat. June 22, 201412 yr #7 is okay for this, it seemed like a bit of a quiet release for them. I did think it might have challenged for top 5 though. Wonder if they have an album coming out ever... September
June 22, 201412 yr Demi has a voice far better than what those two songs require. Also Made In the USA was left out of her chart history. Nope, because it wasn't top 75 :)
June 22, 201412 yr This is by far the worst track ever from Tiesto. Shame it's become his biggest hit to date. :( At least 'Red Lights' was good, even if abit generic.
June 22, 201412 yr the radio 1 edit of 'Wasted' is so pointless/unnecessary. loving the song though, a nice mix between pop and dance
June 22, 201412 yr 'Wasted' is by far and away the worst thing he has ever put his name to. :puke: Shame this is in a discography which includes such greats as '643', 'Lethal Industry', 'Urban Train', 'Traffic' and 'Love Comes Again'. :(
June 22, 201412 yr wasted is a good pop song, but coming from tiësto it just seems so fundamentally wrong
June 22, 201412 yr Why do they have a problem with the term 'Wasted'? It's hardly THAT offensive a term, it's pretty much a standard student term.
June 22, 201412 yr I prefer the Icona Pop/ Tiësto collaboration to this tbh. Edited June 22, 201412 yr by JSG
June 22, 201412 yr Listened to Ultraviolence a few times now, it's better than Born to Die for me. Highlights for me are Sad Girl, Ultraviolence, Black Beauty and Brooklyn Baby
June 22, 201412 yr the radio 1 edit of 'Wasted' is so pointless/unnecessary. loving the song though, a nice mix between pop and dance I don't really get why the chorus sing naked instead of wasted tbh
