That must be the smallest ever ground capacity in the premier league?!

Bloomfield Road must be up there, although Blackpool did build temporary stands iirc.

Fantastic achievement for Bournemouth! Funny to think in the 2008/09 season Bournemouth had a 17 point deduction in League 2 and faced liquidation before saving themselves while Portsmouth were an ambitious Premier League team and played AC Milan in Europe... how times change!

Echo all the above that's a really quite astonishing turnaround for The Cherries, they will be a credit to the BPL :D

Incredible story for Bournemouth, very pleased for them!
Of course Bournemouth could be stopped................ if Middlesborough win their match and Charlton win 19-0 on Saturday

Congratulations to Bournemouth on getting promotion. What a fantastic story they've had from near liquidation back in 2008 to getting promoted to the Premier League seven years later.

The scenes after the final whistle:

With Rotherham beating Reading 2-1 it means that Wigan Athletic and Millwall have both been relegated to League One despite Rotherham being deducted those 3 points for fielding an ineligible player.

2 years ago- Wigan won the FA Cup and now they're in the third tier. Surely not another Portsmouth scenario?

What went wrong with Derby? Complete capitulation post-Christmas! Shame as I really like McLaren. Maybe Ibe was the loss!

I'm not too displeased about Derby's collapse, if they were anything like they were last time in the Prem...

So happy for Bournemouth to actually win the whole thing is unbelievable! Happy Wolves didn't make play-offs either & would like either Brentford or Ipswich to get promoted.

On a more serious note, today's performance was dreadful - if that's how we cope with the nerves then getting to the play-offs would have been pointless anyway. I do think if Bent scored the penalty to make it 1-1 we would've done enough to make the play-offs but it's unfair to pin it all on that as it all went wrong months ago...

That was the first sign of trouble, Ibe going coincided with the last minute Forest loss in mid-January and also, perhaps more importantly, the doubts regarding McLaren's future. However I can't say that was the turning point as we managed 5 wins in the next 7 games, with the other 2 being very useful draws. For me the turning point would have to be down to the injuries that piled up at the end of February and while a couple of away defeats came, we had that comfortable 2-0 lead at the beginning of March against Birmingham. We threw away the win after conceding twice in injury time and from then on it seems the confidence went immediately. We managed to string an unbeaten run of six matches together before today, but our only wins came against the bottom two sides since that Birmingham meltdown.

The Birmingham match was the turning point for me, and that combined with a never-improving list of injuries and recurrent doubts regarding McLaren's future meant that the confidence lost there could never be fully regained. That said, a goal difference of +30 odd and 77 points is easily our second most successful season since our Premier League relegation, we've still come on leaps and bounds since the Clough steadying the ship days.

Derby aside, I'm very pleased for Brentford and I am wanting them to win the play-offs! Would be a great story just like Bournemouth is.

Hopefully Boro go up, we need another Northern team in the Premier League to even it all up.

I suppose when you put it like that it puts it into perspective Ryan. Got to be looking to get promoted next season though? Not sure if any of the clubs coming down will go straight back up again, so it could be wide open again. Then again I expect the likes of Fulham to do much better next season. Wolves are probably a good shout as well.

I'd like to hope we'll be in contention again next season, the owners really seem to have be throwing everything at promotion this season so that will hopefully continue. Of course, we relied on loans quite a lot this season - Ibe, Ince, Bent, Mascarell, Lingard - so it depends if we can find adequate replacements and it also depends how quickly we sort out this management situation. Hopefully we'll hit the ground running though, but if big changes do go on this summer I could see us having a season of consolidation before a push the following season. We'll have to see!

Do you not think McClaren is a dead man walking?

Anyway would love to see Brentford go up in the playoffs another small club whereas the norwichs and Ipswich will be back. Plus Ipswich aren't good enough IMO just a hard working Mick side who will struggle.

Pritchard is a cracking wee player!

Are we all going to ignore the ridiculous situation that happened at Blackpool yesterday?

It got over shadowed by everything else going on.

It's not hard to understand why Blackpool fans are frustrated. There is plenty of money in the club, but the Oystons won't agree to spend any of it. Of course, that doesn't excuse yesterday's pitch invasion, but it does explain it.

Not quite overshadowed, plenty of press reports about this! Fair play to the fans that did this, the decline since the 2012 playoff final has been dramatic. Especially considering the potential resources at their disposal.
