I've just listened to 'One Last Time' at the moment (because of the 'Euphoria' comparisons) and it's quite beautiful actually, and I do see the similarities to 'Euphoria' however I think this is a bit more "subtle" than Euphoria is. I love how Ariana's vocals get stronger and stronger as the song progresses and I think it's fantastic! :wub:

Not saying she can't carry an album on her own, but on the deluxe edition, 8 out of the 14 songs are colabs :lol:

 

That said, I'm surprised how well produced this is all sounding. One More Time and Love Me Harder are my favourites after the first listen through.

Technically it's 6 out of 15 that are collaborations, Zedd and Cashmere Cat are just credited as producers.

 

Can't download this album as it's not my computer to download things to, but just listened to 4 of the tracks ('Love Me Harder', 'Be My Baby', 'A Little Bit Of Your Heart' & 'Why Try') and they're all brilliant. 'Why Try' in particular is a fave!

 

Gonna find somewhere that is streaming the album or something. I need to hear the rest. (If anyone knows of anywhere that is streaming the album, let me know pleaseeee!)

 

EDIT: Oh my God. 'One Last Time' is just as wonderful as I imagined. I actually sort of see the 'Euphoria' comparisons, despite it not being a direct copy, I understand where the similarities lie.

I thought this was a solid album! "Break Your Heart Out" is my favourite non-single, I love the use of the samples. "Love Me Harder" is great too, it definitely has single potential. "One Last Time" was nice - not quite "Euphoria 2.0" - but a good album track. The only 'duds' I'd immediately name are "Just a Little bit of Your Heart" and the title track.

 

I'm not sure what the third single will be, not that we'll have anything for a while yet anyway with both "Break Free" and "Bang Bang" yet to impact the UK, but when the decision is made, I think she needs to push a completely solo effort.

 

I've never listened to Yours Truly but like "The Way", so I may give that a listen next!

Yes you should Theo.! 'Yours Truly' is brilliant. You should like it if you liked 'The Way'! I think the stronger tracks on 'My Everything' are stronger than those on 'Yours Truly', though. A much more mature effort from her, despite 'Yours Truly' being pretty mature too. LOVING this album though. 'One Last Time' should be the next single in January/February, I think.
This is probably the first album this year that I'm looking forward to buying. I've heard the Childish Gambino track and her voice is incredible.

You can get 'One Last Time' for free on UK iTunes, so it will probably be made iTunes free single of the week when it updates tonight!
