This is a strong album but it’s her weakest album for me!

 

I think her debut is a lot more mature than this tbh! I think this is an album what was more label driven for success which meant that there’s some generic tracks on there and some of the album now sounds dated too.

 

The highlights are very strong though but I don’t often revisit this as a whole album I just individually listen to my favourites.

Happy birthday to an album that took Ari's career to another level *.*

So many smashes on here! Now I know one of her favourites is 'BYHRB' I really wish it would have rounded up the era. This (similarly to Dangerous Woman and thank u, next) could easily have been another 'Teenage Dream'/'Future Nostalgia' type run where they could have got a crazy 7 or 8 single run out of it.

Those are my two favourite album tracks so naturally I would've liked that idea <3 I'm sure 'Just a Little Bit of Your Heart' in particular could've smashed, I remember the 1D fans downloaded the song en masse at the time just because Harry was involved with the songwriting so imagine if he was actually featured haha.

I can’t believe it’s been eight years :o It honestly feels like yesterday. I don’t think I’ve ever been as obsessed with an album again in the same way I was with this at the time.

i always say this felt like the most un-Ariana album she made and i don't think i was wrong.

Wow 8 years - happy birthday to the 'My Everything' era! I remember the release of it very clearly as I was working at HMV at the time, so the CD was on display a lot *.*

Today is the day! Happy 10 years of My Everything, I did get into Ariana via 'The Way' but I'd say 'Love Me Harder' was the first song of hers that became a huge favourite :wub: the questionable sequencing between tracks does bring down the album a bit ('Intro' -> 'Problem' especially) but it does have its highs. My top 5 would be:

Cool that we finally have 'Cadillac Song' and 'Too Close' on streaming, hadn't heard them in years.

I've been listening to it a lot recently and it's taking me straight back to being 16 and being obsessed with this album in a way I haven't been with anything else before or since. It's not my favourite album of all-time but it's definitely the one I've listened to most and defined some of my formative years. It already being 10 years is sickening.

 

I'm very happy we have Cadillac Song & Too Close on streaming now too!
