Posted July 5, 201411 yr I have calculated the results and we have our winner. I'll kick things off tonight most likely, depends on whether the footie is on or not  Kylie Enjoy Yourself Rhythm Of Love Let's Get To It Greatest Hits Kylie Minogue Imposible Princess Light Years Fever Body Language Ultimate Kylie X Boombox: The Remix Album 2000-2008 Aphrodite The Abbey Road Sessions The Best Of Kylie Minogue Kiss Me Once What album to you all think won? What came last? What did better than you thought it might?
July 5, 201411 yr I think Light Years will win, with Fever at #2 and possibly X at #3. X has done better than I expected!
July 5, 201411 yr I'm also hoping Light Years to win, but I am curious to see how her early PWL albums will fare as well
July 5, 201411 yr X must win. Fever and Light Years are soooo overrated :( They're PINNACLES in pop music. I'm not sure what will win, ordinarily I would say Fever but it got a few low marks. As long as Let's Get To It is last, I don't mind.
July 5, 201411 yr Author I will kick off soon, I suggest grabbing a snack tbh. http://31.media.tumblr.com/b6bd8018dfedf14b7a2107581674b35a/tumblr_mh5nde6bcD1s4nzkso1_500.gif
July 5, 201411 yr I'd be happy with Light Years, Fever, Ultimate Kylie, X or Aphrodite winning, and it does seem very likely it will be one of those. Unfortunately I'm not keen on the albums from Enjoy Yourself to Kylie Minogue, they just don't do anything special for me, they're just alright.
July 5, 201411 yr Author Okay, no Casualty tonight, so let us begin. http://i.imgur.com/dc8N2Q4.gif "let it drop, make it rock, baby I'm your Boombox" http://eil.com/images/main/Kylie%20Minogue%20-%20Boombox:%20The%20Remix%20Album%202000%20-%202008%20-%20CD%20ALBUM-456123.jpg 17 | Boombox: The Remix Album 2000-2008 Average Score: 5.125 Highest Scores: 8 (mr aly) 7 (Niall Minogue, Red Blooded Man) Lowest Scores: 0 (Heezus) 1 (pippa) In last place is Kylie's first official remix album. It has edited version of all the Parlo singles bar Please Stay and Chocolate and also Kids, but that never had any made for it. The album contained one "new" song, the LA Riots mix of Boombox, a Body Language cast away. The song has been around for years and the original version is out there too but isn't half as good as this remix IMO. The album made the UK top 30, not bad since it was unpromoted and no singles came from it, not that there would be much point, I most of the songs are available elsewhere, I think the remix of The One was previously not available, but it's a nice collection nethertheless and the cover is really awesome. Good for a party I guess.
July 5, 201411 yr I think Boombox is a really nice collection, plus disc 2 had all the Parlo singles up until that point too.
July 5, 201411 yr Sad to see Boombox last, although I suppose it's not that surprising. My main favourites are 'Can't Get Blue Monday Out of My Head', the Casino mix of 'Your Disco Needs You' and the LA Riots remix of 'Boombox'. The rest are very pleasant as well.

Compared to her other official GH packages, this one falls a bit short, a decent collection nethertheless, it covers the basics, but the lack of new single Timebomb was a tad silly perhaps. The collection debuted and peaked at #11, not great but considering there was nothing really new to this set, not that bad either. There was a deluxe version with the videos, which was a nice though and the album cover is really rather groovy. For a new fan, this is a decent start point, but a certain other GH in this rate does a better job, find out where that one landed soon.
July 6, 201411 yr That was such an incredibly pointless release, even me as a collector of all releases avoided that like the plague.
July 6, 201411 yr It really is mind-boggling that 'Timebomb' wasn't included, especially when this collection was being portrayed as official greatest hits collection rather than a cash-in. The claim that the tracking list was compiled after a poll of fans favourite Kylie singles was obviously rubbish if 'Celebration' is on there and 'The One' isn't. :P
July 6, 201411 yr That release was fine for me, it had most of my faves anyway  It would have made sense commercially to include Timebomb I guess but personally I'd much rather they didn't :kink:
July 6, 201411 yr Author http://i.imgur.com/pka0WaR.gif "We're gonna do it, let's get to it, I hope you enjoy this as much as I do" http://i.imgur.com/qKmbw9u.jpg 15 | Let's Get To It Average Score: 6.08 Highest Scores: 10 (aeroco) 8 (Niall Minogue, Liam) Lowest Scores: 2 (mr aly) 4 (Johnkm, liamk97) Poor brave Let's Get To It. The last studio album from her PWL days and alas, her least successful one, it missed the top 10 in the UK and is, I believe, her only album not to be certified by the BPI. A totally different sound to her other albums from this time, a more mature, slghtly R&B sound really did not go down well with the public. That being said, this album is an underrated gem, Word Is Out is easily one of her best singles, sadly it never makes it to her tours or compilation album, neither does If You Were With Me Now even though it went top 3. How can anyone hate on the album that is home to Finer Feelings though?
July 6, 201411 yr Easily my least favourite Kylie album; the reason it got as high as a 4/10 from me was because of the singles, particularly 'Give Me Just a Little More Time'. The Abbey Road version of 'Finer Feelings' is a lot better than the original version.

July 6, 201411 yr Awful album. :puke: Totally cheap and bargain basement, almost like Dannii's debut. 'Finer Feelings' is a definite gem though. Edited July 6, 201411 yr by mr_aly
