Don't know whether anybody else has seen this, but The Best of Kylie is at No 39 in Australia this week. I wonder if this is due to the announcement of her 2015 tour in Australia?

Fiirstly not surprised at Boombox being bottom and that Best of collection was just terrible, okay it does features some of her finest tracks, but what was the point of it and I still don't get why Timebomb wasn't on it, I didn't bother buying it.

"Let's Get To It" is a fine album but not as good as her other PWL albums in my opinion and it's one that I rarely go back to, but I do still love some of the tracks = Finer Feelings, If You Were With Me Now, Right Here Right Now and I Guess I Like It Like That and I even have a soft spot for Give Me Just A Little More Time, a very decent cover and quite fan and love that Brrrr in it.

I still think that if "Right Here Right Now" was released as the lead single instead of Word Is Out, then the album would have done better and continued her streak of top 10 hits.

I reckon Impossible Princess album will be next to drop out of this rate

My guess is that Timebomb is not on there because it was released to promote the singles boxset, rather than the best of.

14 | Body Language

Average Score: 6.5
Highest Scores: 9 (Liam) 8 (mr aly, Niall Minogue, Regina, Duggie001, Red Blooded Man)
Lowest Scores: -1 (Heezus) 4.5 (pippa)

Annoyngly low is the criminally overlooked Body Language. A stark change in sound to previous album Fever, the album was a risk and one that kinda didn't pay off. Kylie
got another #1 in the form of Slow and the album has sold over 400K but it's a mark down from the Fever era. Shame, since this is a much stronger album and full of more gems
than Fever. I mean, we are introduced to RAPLIE, the greatest side to her music range. Chocolate is another gem, although the version with the rap by Ludacris is miles better than
the final album version. Heezus proves he is purely tastless by giving this a -1 and pippa once again shows she is brutal and heartless as she once again gives one of the lowest
scores for an album. Worth noting that the bonus tracks from this album are as strong as the core tracks, Slo Motion especially, do yourselves a favour and go download that one.
Of course the album does also feature Sweet Music.....*shudders* Although, is it any worse than I Was Gonna Cancel or Million Miles? Well, yes.
OH, and Obsession >>>>>> ur favs.

Body Language was such a disappointment after 2 solid excellent pieces of pop albums, it does have some highs but outside the singles it was bla bla, nothing stood out, that said, chocolate was a very slick song that grew tremendously on me and it was and still is a single that was very different from Kylie.

I love the album version of chocolate but I hate the radio edit.

The album is pretty fine, but Someday and I feel for you are just horrible and worse than I was gonna cancel !

Heezus proves he is purely tastless by giving this a -1

:coffee:

Now this is a shock, I thought Body Language was a bit more liked than this!

This album is a tricky one for me though. I want to like it and I tell myself that I do kind of like it, but in all honesty it's yet to click with me. The singles are very good - 'Red Blooded Woman' is one I often revisit and I think the album would be much better if there were a few more songs like this - but like Aly says, it is a bit of a B-sides sounding album (and not X-style B-sides either).

The album is pretty fine, but Someday and I feel for you are just horrible and worse than I was gonna cancel !

Yeah, they're the only two I properly detest on that album too.

Finding gifs of Ryan Kwanten with clothes on is so hard, damn google not letting us post shirtlessness.
Anyway, Kylie's second album pops up at #13, beating Let's Get To It but losing out to her other 2 PWL albums. This is a decent album, but it showed little to no
progression in sound to her debut album. This album also has the misfortune of having a song about saving the planet and going green on it (Heaven & Earth) yeah, really.
It DOES have I'm Over Dreaming (Over You) going for it, which is easily one of the best non single PWL era tracks by Kylie. Like her debut, the album went to #1 in the UK
and was already double platinum in its first week due to pre-sales alone. Not bad going. The album contained two #1 singles too, Hand On Your Heart and the often criticised Tears
On My Pillow, both lovely songs. Pippa finally shows that she is not as tough as her other scores suggested and Heezus once again shows a lack of taste, nothing new.

WHAT EVEN

Not a fan of Enjoy Yourself - it was mainly the singles that helped it get a 4 from me (that's aside from 'Hand On Your Heart' though, not too keen on that).

'I'm Over Dreaming (Over You)' is also quite good, definitely the best album track.

And right above Enjoy Yourself is the album that came before it and the album that kicked off Kylie's career. This is pretty much standard bubblegum pop throughout, but boy is
it enjoyable. As 80's as a perm and The Golden Girls.
Almost all of the 10 tracks on it became singles in one country or another. Infact, the first 6 songs were singles. Impressive. The album was a major success, topping the
charts here and going something like 7 times platinum. The album contains some mega cheesy but oh so enjoyable tracks and is home to the BEST PWL song EVER, namely Turn It Into Love, if you don't love it then I hope you get hit by a bus. LOLworthyness happened in Aus when the album was released to itunes, the track Love At First Sight was accidentally
replaced with the song of the same name from Fever, which is totally amazing. The album fared fairly okay-ish in this rate, being the second highest PWL era studio album, Niall Minogue once again giving the highest scores, maybe a bit overly loony, but that's devotion for you.

Both Kylie and Enjoy Yourself offered very solid singles that performed impressively in the singles charts around the world and launched her music career to a very high caliber. Enjoy Yourself i often find over criticized but an album that is always worth a revisit. Im Over Dreaming Over You and Turn It Into Love (Kylie) should have been UK singles and they would without doubt be a part of Kylies very impressive run of top 2 hits. Enjoy Yourself the track was a solid piece of pop with such a catchy and memorable cheesy hook. I am happy with the fact Enjoy Yourself remains one of her highest selling albums even though its often a forgotten gem, writing this has triggered memories of such good albums and it makes me further realise what a huge disappointment Kiss Me Once really is.

Kylie's debut is easily her best PWL studio album for me. 'I Should Be So Lucky' and 'Loco-motion' remain classics, and not just within her discography, and the 4 album tracks only at the end are very enjoyable, particularly 'I Miss You'. 'Turn It Into Love' should have been a single.
