I always liked Fever, for me it was the perfect follow up to the light years, the music had moved on but was still in line with light years, it continued where light years let off, the singles of it were perfect but i would havee loved fever to have been a single and i too loved the fever performance on an audience with. Everything with this era was done well, excellent singles, packaged well, promotion as spot on and it had great singles to back it up. Im a little surprised it missed the top 5 but i knew it would miss the top 3.
Fever, the album that really changed Kylie's career and the era that finally saw Kylie win a long overdue Brit Award(2),it was an album that suited Kylie extremely well at the time and most of the album has aged wonderfully well. The singles, especially the world dominating Cant Get You Out Of My Head is iconic Kylie and the even better (in my opinion) Love At First Sight were mega fantastic singles. In Your Eyes was refreshing at the time and in part was a good follow up to CGYOOMH as it was so different from it. I sometimes rethink was Come Into My World the right choice as fourth singles, while there is little to suggest no, i would agree with what some others have mentioned,Fever could have possibly sold slightly more and it would have resulted in 4 completely different types of singles coming of the album as Come Into My World has a slight hint of CGYOOMY in it.

Carol "Ms. Marvel/Binary/Warbird/Captain Marvel" Danvers >>>>> Kylie.

I just can't wait to see the complete results of this rate, I'd be happy if Light Years or Ultimate Kylie won

"To have every man but to love only one, to wake with the moon and sleep with the sun"

05 | Impossible Princess

Average Score: 8.70
Highest Scores: 11 (Regina) 10 (mr aly, Duggie001, Liam)
Lowest Scores: 7 (Niall Minogue, Aphrodite, liamk97) 8 (pippa, Heezus, Red Blooded Man)

YASSS. SLAY. etc.
The highest peaking non-Parlo album in this rate, and finishing above Fever, is Kylie's least successful album to date. Major lolz all round. Impossible Princess is the closest to a
perfect album Kylie has ever done and this is easily one of the greatest albums ever released. Even though this made the top 10 in the UK, it bombed down pretty fast and none
of the singles made much of an impression in the charts. However, had Kylie got her way and released Limbo as the lead single, I think things would have been much different, much
as I adore Some Kind Of Bliss. This album shows off a much darker side to Kylie and her music, there are hints of Bjork and Alanis Morissette in some of the lyrics and production
and we get to hear some of the most personal and spell binding lyrics we've ever had from Kylie. Dreams is seriously one of the best things she has ever done, the climax is just...
unf. Niall Minogue gave this album it's lowest score here, further proving that he lacks taste, but he is not alone there at least. Shame on you all.
This album is basically the music version of Amy Adams, Zachary Knighton and Sebastian Stan doing a movie together and having a 3way.

Should be higher, but that's not too bad.

I agree it's the most perfect album she's done overall, without this part of her career I doubt we'd have the same Kylie we do today. I hope she does something like this again one day now she has nothing left to lose in the commercial stakes.

It has charted fairly in this rate. I would have to agree with Limbo, it would have made a much better lead single, Some Kind of Bliss is great but it does not represent the true style of the album, did it again was not a great choice either ( in terms of songs, not singles some kind of bliss is far superior) Limbo, dreams, breathe and I Dont Need Anyone would have been the best 4 singles in my opinions. The breathe/je taime mash up on body language launch concert was fantastic and would have done well as a single. Impossible Princess is a good album, not my favourite but it was an an album Kylie needed to do. In terms of UK sales Kiss Me Once may finish up selling less than Impossible Princess and in my opinion Kiss Me Once is more deserved to be her lowest selling album than Impossible Princess.

KMO has already outsold IP

Edited by Regina

7/10 is hardly a bad score! :P I have been getting more and more into Impossible Princess, although I've always thought that there is no way it deserves to be the least successful of her albums. The singles are great - 'Some Kind of Bliss' is among Kylie's best and the 'Did It Again' video is very clever and again one of her best.

7 is practically a 0 when it comes to IP.

Breathe and Too Far >>>>

I'd love Kylie to do another album like IP, as long as there was a song like Confide In Me too.

I'd love Kylie to do another album like IP, as long as there was a song like Confide In Me too.

Another 'Confide in Me' would be excellent, although I'm not sure if the fact there's nothing else like it in her discography that makes 'Confide in Me' so special. I wouldn't want that to be taken away if another came along. However it would be nice if Kylie could show the extent of her vocal range, without going beyond that.

I do like the Impossible Princess album, it's just not my fave and she's done a lot better, however it does have some great tracks on there Some Kind Of Bliss, Did It Again, Limbo, I Don't Need Anyone, Dreams and Breathe. Yeah I do agree that Limbo should have been the first single and that was also Kylie's original choice as well, but the label made her release Some Kind Of Bliss instead coz it was written by the guy from Manic Street Preachers

04 | Aphrodite

Average Score: 8.83
Highest Scores: 10 (Regina, Heezus, Red Blooded Man) 9 (mr aly, Niall Minogue, Duggie001, pippa, Liam, liamk97)
Lowest Scores: 6.5 (Johnkm) 7.5 (Aphrodite)

Just missing out on a top 3 spot is 2010's Aphrodite. The album that contains the euphoric eargasm that is All The Lovers. This album fared pretty well in the charts, it even gave Kylie
a UK CHART RECORD, she is the first act to have #1 albums in 4 consecutive decades, infact, this album debuted at #1 almost exactly 22 years after her debut album did. Chart loons
celebrate. The album itself is one of my favourites by Kylie, very much the Amy Adams of her discography, not quite toppling the Sebastian Stan AKA Impossible Princess. Yes, this
is a very safe and very Kylie by numbers album but it is done very well and flows beautifully, it's a joy to listen through this. With such flaw free tracks such as ATL, Get Outta My Way, Cupid Boy, Looking For An Angel and the stunning Everything Is Beautiful, it's no wonder this album fared so well in this rate. Sadly, it didn't sell as much as it could have, the
promo and excitement seemed to dry up after the album came out. I can remember the day I bought this, in the HMV at Braehead shopping centre in Glasgow, which is sadly gone now. I also bought a copy from Amazon and one off itunes. I also have a giant print of the album cover in my room. Sats stans cud neva.

Aphrodite is a fab album for this sort of summertime, it always works as the perfect summer soundtrack for me.

It does lack standout singles but as an album in full it's strong.
