July 13, 201411 yr I actually really like Smack That, so catchy.. Walk This Way is a lot better for me than BuzzJack seems to think
July 13, 201411 yr Author wow! surely must be the oldest song to make it onto a Now compilation? :o You know me by now, there had to be one typo :P . Will crack on with the next lot in a few minutes. :)
July 13, 201411 yr Author Onwards and upwards: 39. Seamus Haji feat. Kay Jay - Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (5.10) (xKetalinax, Doug (10), Atonement, Rob S, Alex (0)) (kellyann (10), ultraviolence (1)) (7seiz, Jonjo, Luciano (10), Leonardo (1)) (kellyann (11), xKetalinax, jsilv, Liam (0)) (Niall Minouge (10), Aled (1)) At 40 it's a reworking of an 80's classic anthem by Seamus Haji, who also remixed Booty Luv's Boogie 2night (which is yet to come in this rate). Last Night A DJ Saved my life went Top 10 in March 2007. We also have a forgotten favourite from The Ordinary Boys at 38 and at 37 Jamie T's third single from his debut album 'Panic Prevention', which he recorded in his bedroom believe it or not. At 37 Robbie Williams was going through a tough time with Take That back together without him, as well as being in and out of rehab. This was the third (and best single for me) from his 2006 album 'Rudebox', which see's him working with the Pet Shop Boys. 'She's Madonna' only reached Number 16 in the Top 40. At 36 we have Razorlight with the third single from their self titled second album. This was the follow up to the Number 1 hit 'America', peaking at Number 17 in the UK chart. July 13, 201411 yr Author Are you going to reveal lowest/higher voters when you get further up, Gavin? :D Yes, I'll edit them in for 44-40 in a few moments for you. :)
July 13, 201411 yr 'last night a DJ saved my life' far too low :( it was the standard type of dance music that was being released around that time but it's still a tune!
July 13, 201411 yr Author 34. The View - Same Jeans (5.68) (Conderella (10), Scott (0)) 33. Sharam - P.A.T.T (Party All The Time) (5.74) (Conderella, Jade (10), Alex, Leonardo (0)) (jsilv, Ultraviolence (10), Rob S (-1)) AdamAloud, jonjo, kellyann (10), Conderella (0)) (Jade (10), AdamAloud (1)) The View scored a Top 3 hit with 'Same Jeans'. Hopefully they earned enough to buy themselves a washing machine now. Sharam managed to go Top 10 with a track originally recorded by Eddie Murphy back in 1985, and is at 33 on our Now 66 rate. Girls Aloud crash at 32 wit their cover of Tiffany's 80's classic 'I Think We're Alone Now' from their 'Sound Of The Underground Greatest Hits' album. Cascada's take on Savage Garden's classic ballad is at 31 and a forgotten favourite from the Fratellis (yes they had more than one big hit) is at #30.
July 13, 201411 yr I Think We're Alone Now is Girls Aloud's best single for me, shame to see it so low :(
July 13, 201411 yr Author (xKetalinax, Nick F1, Conderella (10), Rob S, Alex, Atonement (0)) (Jade (11), Leonardo (0)) (Jade, AdamAloud, Conderella (10), مدهش* ) (Ultraviolence, Liam, Niall Minogue (10), Atonement (0)) Niall Minogue, Jester, Luciano, kellyann (10), Atonement (-1)) A top 10 smash from Camille and Feddie kicks us off this time around at 29. Eric Prydz second chart hit, and commercial follow up to 'Call On Me' two and a half years later is a sample of teh Pink Floyd classic 'Another Brick On The Wall'. The first time the band had cleared a sample of their work. It reached Number 2 in the Top 40. At 27, it was a rather poor start to Gwens second solo era. Good job 'The Sweet Escape' saved the ear for her. Leona's X Factor winners song is alot lower than I expected. It's definatly my favourite winners song to date, and Snow Patrol's Open Your Eyes is at #25.
July 13, 201411 yr Author (Conderella, gavindeejay, Nick F1 (10), Rob S (0)) Jester, Adam Aloud, IZ~, FM11 (9), Jack (2)) (Niall Minogue, gavindeejay, Rob S, IZ~, Jonjo (10), Conderella (2)) (Chez Wombat (11), Aled (-1)) (Leonardo (11), Jonjo, (1)) Fall Out Boy are at 24 with a great rock anthem. The Scissor Sisters are at 23 with 'She's My Man' from their album 'Ta Da' and smack on the on the halfway point it's The Feeling's I Love It When You Call. One of their best in my opinion, and I think is probably one of their most well known songs now.....well it's the only one of their songs I hear on the radio anyway. Just missing out on the Top 20 it's The Fray with their classic 'How To Save A Life', a massive hit from the start of 2007 and spent an age in the Top 40, and has recently re-entered too after a price reduction on iTunes. The Kaisers released their second studio album 'Yours Truly Angry Mob' in March 2007, and the first single from it was 'Ruby', which shot to Number 1 on release.
July 13, 201411 yr Author 19. Take That - Patience (6.96) (Scott(11), Liam (-1)) (gavindeejay (10), Jack (3)) 17. Lily Allen - Alfie (7.09) (Niall Minogue, jsilv, Scott (10), kellyann (1)) (7Seize (11), kellyann (1)) The return of Take That lands at 19 on the Now 66 chart. This was the first single taken from their big comeback (minus Robbie Williams) album 'Beautiful World', which went to Number 1 in late 2006. At 18 we have Just Jack with a great track 'Starz In Their Eyes'. I'm shocked this is in the Top 20. At 17 we have the fourth single from Lily's debut album 'Alright Still' and was written as an attempt to stop her little brother wasting his life away. At 16 it's 'Golden Skans' from Klaxons. Great summery tune that got to Number 4 in March 2007.
