Both of these girls had radical success in the mid to late 2000's. Who did you prefer?

Let's be reminded of past glories:

I dislike Jamelia's biggest hit ('Superstar') but like some of the rest of her songs while I only like Alesha's two biggest hits. So in conclusion, they're about equal -_-.

Jamelia had better singles and album tracks, so I'd have to choose her out of the two. I prefer Alesha as a personality, though she had a couple of really good singles.
Hold on, let me get my CHART HISTORIES out and sort them by MEAN.
Tough - I love them both! In the end Alesha just pips Jamelia for me! But both need comebacks at some point... Loose Women and the 'house singer' on I Love My Country really have been a low point for Jamelia this past year but Alesha's still doing well with BGT I guess.
Jamelia, nearly all of her singles were better than Aleshas. The only one I go back to when it comes to Alesha is Breathe Slow really. Radio was quite good too I guess.

Radio is soooo underrated. I'm still in shock it missed the top 40!

You forgot the real low point - being reduced to working in a perfume shop in Birmingham!

 I was talking more about her public career. But overall that is definitely her career low!

Definitely Alesha. Jamelia has a few good songs (I love Beware Of the Dog, Something About You, See It In A Boy's Eyes, No More, Stop and to a lesser extent Superstar and Thank You) but I love pretty much all Alesha's singles, The Boy Does Nothing, To Love Again and Breathe Slow in particular are incredible.

There's something hugely off putting about Jamelia as a person too imo.

This is quite hard . I prefer Alesha as a person she's more likeable but apart from Breath Slow I wasn't really a fan of her solo material she was much better in Mis Teeq (who were probably one of the most underrated UK girls groups ever IMO). Jamelia came out with some real good songs Superstar, Thank You , Money, See It In The Boys Eyes and Stop were real gems .

'Superstar' is life-enhancing; the only thing Alesha has touched that comes even close (well maybe even passes, to be fair) to it is 'Scandalous'.

Jamelia > Alesha tho (I'm still hoping Jamelia will make a comeback - panel shows doth not need you!)

I picked Jamelia. She had more singles and therefore more choice to pick out a few good songs from her discography.

Having said that, I love Shaznay Lewis. Her debut album was really nice. Would like her to come back.

Both tripe, Alesha more so. Her Breathe Slow dirge was one of the most painful things released and live? Oh. My. God. Cannot sing and tripe songs.

However Thank You album and singles up to Athens 2004 Universal Prayer was a masterpiece. Beware of the Dog and that flop album, Jevine beef and first album were astoundingly atrocious however.

Superstar is pretty wonderful, and Beware Of The Dog is decent, but I definitely prefer Alesha, even if I barely listen to her aside from Breathe Slow these days. Radio and Every Little Part Of Me I used to love loads back in 2010/11.
