I think 'Classic' is very average, but I'm really surprised that it hasn't been huge here. I wonder how big the Now 88 cherry-picking effect will be for it next week.

Biography

24 months ago only a select few knew who James Rockhill was. Now millions know him as Kove.

Directly after his first release, ‘Breach/Stellar,’ on Matrix and Futurebounds’ Viper Recordings, RAM Records’ boss Andy C signed ‘Iodine/Open Ground’ to his new imprint Program Recordings. The track was featured on the legendary DJ’s Mixmag mix CD, which led to Kove being invited to play at RAM’s residency at London’s infamous club Fabric.

A month after the release of ‘Iodine’ and Kove’s track ‘Searching’ found its way into the hands of chart topping producers Chase & Status, who included it in their own Mixmag mix CD. It became Kove’s second track to feature on the magazine in just six short months, and a record deal with Chase & Status’ label MTA (also home to Nero), immediately followed. Soon Kove was supporting them at club nights across Europe as the track became one of the biggest releases of the summer, receiving major support from Radio 1 and reaching the #1 spot on Beatport’s D&B chart. ‘Love For You’ released at the end of 2013 again became an underground smash and firmly secured his tracks as dance floor ammo for the UK’s DJ’ing elite.

Kove has become increasingly in demand as a re-mixer being asked for his own take of Top 10 hits including Chase & Status’ ‘Lost and Not Found’, Bastille’s’ Rhythm of the Night' and John Newman’s massive no.1 single, ‘Love Me Again.’ Last Summer also saw his stock rise as a DJ, with a regular slot for Together at Ibiza’s famous Amnesia and playing the main stage for UKF at SW4 in London - not to mention support slots for the likes of Sub Focus and Annie Mac.

With so much achieved in such a short space of time, 2014 will undoubtedly propel Kove further into the limelight. - Facebook

amazing to see kove in the chart! :cheer:

way we are

Rather like this Kove song, another bit of UK garage revival a la 'Touch'. Glad it's made the top 30.
Ooh another dance song! I really like the production, very 90's/early 00's (not an uncommon trend as of late!). Melissa Steel has a really great voice!

good to see Kove sneaking into the top 30 there! wasn't convinced it'd even make the top 40 last week.

Kove track goes nowhere, there are better dance tracks than this in the 40.

Missed a Lot in The chart

Yay at Vance Joy re-entering favorite song of last year

Nay at Micheal Jackson, usher and Sam smith nearly leaving the chart :(

Biography

Australian rock band 5 Seconds to Summer make ebullient, high-energy music that straddles the line between '90s punk-pop and 1000s boy-band pop. Formed in 2011, the band features fellow Norwest Christian College grads Luke Hemmings (lead vocals/guitar), Michael Clifford (guitar/vocals), Calum Hood (bass/vocals), and Ashton Irwin (drums/vocals). The band uploaded several videos to Youtube and quickly caught the attention of Sony, who signed the band to a publishing deal. In 2012, 5 Seconds to Summer released two EPs including Unplugged and Somewhere New. The following year, the band received a further boost after they were asked to open for Britain's One Direction on tour. That same year they signed a record deal with Capitol, and in 2014, 5 Seconds to Summer released their third EP, She Looks So Perfect. - iTunes

Album Discussion Here

The Kove track sounds way better than I was expecting, delightfully funky.

5 Seconds Of Summer still sounding pretty brilliant.

I should love 5 Seconds Of Summer, but there's something about them I don't like. I must be too much of a 1D stan. :(
Such a boring chart show so far...
this puerile drivel needs to make a swifter exit :mansoncheer:
