Lily Wood & The Prick - Prayer In C is currently blazing in mainland Europe.

It's currently #1 in Austria - Belgium (Flanders) - Belgium (Walloon) - France - Germany - Holland - Luxembourg - Switzerland.

Where will this brilliant single peak in the UK - It's released 25 August.

I'm more worried what Jameela will say when she announces the chart position on the chart show, "Lilly Wood and The Brick at #2"

Jameela will announce it as Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz.

I think it will enter somewhere in the top 5, there's no way it will go to #1 though especially with streaming bringing it down. I don't think Duke Dumont will go to #1 either, David Guetta will stay there for a 2nd week

Nico & Vinz will have already been out for 3 weeks by the time this has released so they won't still be #1 contenders, I think this has a chance but Duke Dumont will probably be the song to beat.

luckily for her, the credit on the UK pre-order (and Australia/NZ release as well) was changed to just "Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz"

she also never mentioned Robin Schulz on Waves until it had been around for over 2 months, I think

oops I meant to say David Guetta not Nico & Vinz ~

Top 5 I'm thinking. Duke Dumont will get to Number 1. Is anyone going to add a poll to this thread?

I think this will be a bigger hit than the Duke Dumont song personally so I'll go with #1, I think the 90s house fad is fading and he might be the next casualty. As soon as this starts getting airplay its pre-orders will shoot up quickly.

wouldn't Robin Schulz be a casualty of the fading house trend too though? Duke Dumont has the better pre-orders at the moment but it's hard to tell who'll debut higher as R1 haven't touched this song yet and I imagine they will.

I don't get why they shouldn't say Lily Wood & The Prick, it's not offensive and it's not an expletive.

Except it is. Here's what urban dictionary has to say about the word 'prick'.

1. a penis

2. derogatory term used to sum up the existance of a worthless asshole

That prick stole my girlfriend.

I don't think house is fading altogether, just the heavily 90s influenced stuff, which I don't think Prayer In C is.

oh fair enough. I guess that explains why Always isn't doing too well but songs like Waves, Gecko and Summer are big hits. Although that doesn't explain why the new Gorgon City and DJ Fresh songs were big flops.

I guess not everything's going to smash from any genre. Both are inferior to their previous singles imo so got deservedly lower peaks.

The later R1 leave playlisting this, the more chance it's going to end up peaking at #2/3, it's a shame because it deserves the top spot!
