Cough Becky Hill Cough :D :P

To be fair, her two big hits were only as a featured artist on a dance producer's hits, and her own debut single is flopping even harder than Leah McFall's Home (on iTunes Leah McFall is #80 with Home and Becky Hill is #211 with Caution To The Wind), so she isn't exactly doing too well for herself as a solo artist.

She's still done better than everyone else from The Voice though

The problem is the support really. Yes, none of the contestants have ever screamed mega stars, but they would be having more success if radio and TV decided to play them. Radio 1 have only playlisted one solo single from The Voice and that was once the album had been released. Capital have not touched anything. We've seen how hard it is for acts like Nicole/Pixie/La Roux/The Saturdays/Alexandra Burke to maintain success without their support, let alone someone just starting out in the industry.
The biggest shock of the week is Naughty Boy possibly missing the top 10. Its pre-order success and airplay support indicated it would be a top 10! :o
Such a shame for Cher Lloyd, never really liked her post X-factor until this era. The album is such a strong album & genuinely really good, some of the songs on it such as Bind Your Love & Human are better than any of the singles from Sticks & Stones. Really hope some sort of miracle can happen (in the form of an X-factor performance) and the album can at least manage to sell 50k before the year is over.
So glad Neon Jungle are still at #6 in the album charts!! Love them though I sense they will never have as big a hit as Braveheart <3

Has there been a single day in the last two weeks that someone hasn't asked where Ultraviolence is? Would it really be that much effort to put it into the update? It's pretty obvious that if you include Born To Die people are going to ask where her other album is.
I hope we can get some sales today. I have a feeling Ed/number 1 album won't manage 30k this week.

I do get tired of answering the Idina Menzel track, when its literally just falling down the chart now  its hardly going to do anything now, unless the track gets plugged on X Factor this month, yayy!! 3 weeks to go.

At least no one asks about Happy no more  :drama:

I'd say it's a near certainty it'll be on X Factor A LOT, both as incidental music and in auditions. Same goes for All Of Me.
I wonder if anything will get the Skyscraper treatment this year and re-peak off the back of it. Cher Lloyd's Sirens sounds like X Factor background music and as she's from the show it would make sense, so maybe that?
I'm not sure, SyCo generally ignore flops/flop acts really and Cher has been 'away' from the show for years now. Besides, that would likely be too inspired anyway, cue 1000 bad attempts at Roar, Ghost, Burn and every Ed Sheeran song of 2014.
Oh I meant as background music, it's not as if they'll allow contestants to sing songs nearly no-one has heard of. Yeah it probably won't happen, I'm just wondering if any floppy song will get a boost because of being used as background music like how Skyscraper did last year.

Oh right, sorry. Who knows, but it's probably not euphoric enough to soundtrack the would be talent void who ''unexpectedly'' wows everyone nor would it be poignant enough to remind people that the sob story we are hearing is really, truly harrowing.

Poor Cher, I actually LIKE HER NOW and it all starts to go wrong *harbinger of DOOM*

It is a shame that the minute Cher Lloyd becomes likeable, she starts flopping.

Do you mean missing out on top 40, right?

I see only 5 new entries this sunday. -_-

God, I know. :(

'Sirens' and most of the album are a million miles above the tripe she peddled out previously too.

It's spelled 'Lloyd'. (Sorry but this is like the 10th time I've seen you do this and it's driving me slightly mad). :P

More mad than the poster who insisted on calling themselves Envoirment?

Is it possible that said TV/radio stations have some sort of deal with The X Factor, or a related record label?

Don't think Radio 1 has much of a history in supporting XFactor acts! Even with Ella Henderson she isn't currently on a playlist and isn't in their top40 re plays in the last month.

What is surprising is Radio1 doesn't support The Voice more, being a BBC show.... Certainly Leah deserved more support for Home...
