When I said I wanted both tracks top 25 or whatever it was, I didn't want them that low

10. 'Call Me Maybe' | Carly Rae Jepsen

Kicking off a hit filled top 10 is one of the biggest songs of 2012, 'Call Me Maybe' by Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen. Perhaps considered a summer anthem, this infectious song got stuck in the heads of many as parodies of its infamous chorus started to be uploaded online.

So many gems out in that section. What Doesn't Kill You, Ego & Diamonds all deserved top 10 :( Guess I spoke too soon about Adele too. Oops.

Alicia or Katy B FTW! :D

9. 'Euphoria' | Loreen

Falling out of the countdown next is a buzzjack favourite, and probably one of the best Eurovision songs of the noughties, never mind the 2010's. This track from Swedish singer Loreen reached #3 in the 2012 UK singles chart, and with a dance infused backing track covered by Loreen's strong vocals, it was obvious from the beginning that this track would do very well in the countdown.

Queen Higher slaying your faves!

Amazing to see Loreen top 10 also

8. 'Only Girl (In The World)' | Rihanna

Coming in at number 8 is the first single to be taken from Rihanna's studio album'Loud'. This song blew up on charts worldwide, reminding us of just how powerful the Rihanna fans are.

7. 'Crying For No Reason' | Katy B

This stunning track from the 'Queen of dub-step' falls out of the chart at number 7. A very impressive peak for Katy!

6. 'Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart' | Alicia Keys

Just missing the top 5 is Alicia Keys and her incredible single 'Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart'. Alicia has been in the music industry for a good few years now, and it has never really hit me until today just how good she is. She has such a talent for song writing and a voice that is full of soul.

5. 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' | Paloma Faith

Kicking off the massive top 5 is the 2014 Diane Warren penned track 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This'. Paloma shows off her insane vocals on this incredible track as well as gaining the title of 'Queen of the key change' (Well according to Jameela anyway :P)

4. 'Higher' | The Saturdays

And making their final appearance on the chart are The Saturdays. 'Higher' manages to exceed my expectations and chart at a well deserved number 4. This fun track is one of the best singles from the girls and deserves its place in the top 5.

So it is Iggy VS Icona Pop VS Katy Perry for the title. The only thing guaranteed is that Charli XCX will have a track in the top 2 :P

Let's hope Totto doesn't read this thread.

I'm so glad both Higher and Only Love Can Hurt Like This are so high!

3. 'Fancy' | Iggy Azalea (ft. Charli XCX)

Who dat, who dat? I-G-G-Y. Yes, Iggy's incredible team up with British singer Charli XCX comes third in the countdown. This 2014 mega-hit reached number 5 in the UK charts, and topped other charts such as the Hot 100 in the US. The 'Clueless' themed video makes the song memorable and adds a bit of individuality to the track as a whole. Not bad for the Australian Rapper :P

The track in second place is...

2. 'The One That Got Away' | Katy Perry

Coming second, and a well deserved runner up is 2011's beautiful 'The One That Got Away'. As a whole Katy has done incredibly well in the chart and deserves this second place. Despite the track not breaking the top 10 in the UK, it has become one of her most well known tracks, with a video that shows an older Ms Perry reflecting on her youth with 'the one that got away'. Well done Katy!

:w00t:

1. 'I Love It' | Icona Pop(ft. Charli XCX)

So that means that Buzzjack's Favourite Female Single of the 2010s is... 'I Love It' by Icona Pop and Charli XCX. This global smash went straight in at number 1 on the UK charts in 2013 and has become a monster hit for both Icona Pop and Charli. The infections chanting chorus is a fantastic way to get your point across and had many all around the globe chanting 'I don't care! I Love it' wherever they went. A well deserved winner and a fantastic chart as a whole. Well done ladies. :)

5. 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' | Paloma Faith

Proof BJ has no taste. This should never have gone near the top 100, nevermind top 5.

WOW. Amazing to see 'The One That Got Away' rightfully so high up!
What a strange set of results! Weird top 3, "I Love It" and "Fancy" are sooo over rated. I find it hard to find anything Iggy Azalea or Charli XCX touch anything above average. "The One That Got Away" is a surprise #2, I expected "Teenage Dream" to be much more popular, I do think it's one of her best though.

okay so 13/20 of my entries reached the top 100 including 8 entries in the top 50 and 2 entries in the top 5! Happy!

...but mess at Katy Perry being so high sorry but no. Telephone should of been Top 10 at least and Marry The Night should have been higher than 77.

anyway this was fun, should be more rates like this on BuzzJack :)

Pretty average top 5 to say the least.

Also are you going to post the scores? Otherwise you could have just made this up!

So pleased that 'I Love It' won!! Fabulous winner! I'm quite shocked though as I didn't think it was quite loved as much as this as Aly says.
