Radio 1 always seem to be quite hesitant with supporting pop music by new/unestablished artists until it has gone some way to proving itself - see Charli XCX. It's a mystery why on this particular occasion given how well it is doing around the world.

^^I can understand for the most part why they do this as there are so many branded popstars around that are here today gone tomorrow but Boom Clap is obv by a serious artist in her own right with unique talent!
his point is if Leah had the airplay that Naughty Boy is getting then she'd be selling more than Naughty Boy currently is. So radio should have supported Leah as well as or instead of Naughty Boy

Yeah i got that just dont think its a reason why they HAD to support her. Although with radio support its clear she would have done well, maybe top 10. Being from N.I i hear it alot on Cool FM!

They've playlisted Charli XCX numerous times before she properly broke through...

I am so disappointed about Mausi though. :( I was certain they'd go for that.

Pretty sure they only playlisted (well, B Listed) 'SuperLove' after 'I Love It's success.

There's still hope! The release has been pushed back to August 31st now.

I think 'You're the One' was briefly playlisted a couple of years ago. It was on the C-list for one or two weeks (maybe the INMWT??). But other than that she was never really played apart from at night.

I certainly remember 'You (Ha Ha Ha)' being on the playlist, and one of her other ones (before 'I Love It'). I can't recall the name as I don't like the majority of her stuff.
Mayb Mango can shed light on her playlist history i think he has a history of the lists im pretty sure she had 1/2 singles playlisted before I Love It last summer just by memory!

That's right. 'You're The One' was on the INMWT list in 2012 and then 'Superlove' was B-listed last year after the success of 'I Love It'.

I remember at the time Buzzjack being up in arms that 'You (Ha Ha Ha)' wasn't playlisted
