That Cliff campaign is odd to start now, what will happen if it turns out he's guilty?

Which is just as likely as him being found not guilty at the moment. Nobody knows, at least the fans don't anyway. It's a bit weird to start the campaign this early.

I was kind of surprised to see David Guetta at number 1 considering Shot Me Down/Bad didn't really go down well at all, if anything it looked like he was fading. I guess just the mention of Avicii on a song will result in big success these days! Titanium aside, he was way better before he went stratospheric.

The last 2 singles were instant releases whereas this one has built up pre orders for 6 weeks.

In other news Hozier Take me to Church up to 57 :w00t: Should be a top 20 hit when radio 1 inevitably A List it in Sept!!

Also both Thinking out Loud & Dont are 10 & 11 on itunes - could both go top 10 this week?

Nobody tell the Cliff fans that they can download on Saturday too. Ridiculous campaign. What if he is guilty?

While I agree that the era thus far hasn't exactly been great for David Guetta, he did state that he wanted to make electronic music again.

Saying that, despite not even making the T20, "Bad" is up 44-42 on its 19th week in the T200 this week, streaming is oddly benefitting this track. "Shot Me Down", to compare, reached #4 and only spent 10 weeks in the T200. Reckon it should be on to sell 200k at least. As for "Lovers on the Sun", I can hear elements of Guetta, but it's the Avicii production that's partly responsible for the success. Regardless, I'm glad it's looking to hit the top spot, another feel good tune!

Is Years & Years - Take Shelter not anywhere to be seen?

not released until tomorrow, for some reason.

Oh lord at this Cliff campaign. Who knew Cliff would get his highest iTunes position in years by being accused of sexual abuse?
Incredible to see Take Me To Church top 50, I always knew this had potential to do big things, it's so unique, refreshing and different.

'Glow' starting to increase now as I expected, it was just the 'weekend effect' pushing it further down. I'd expect it to keep climbing now as airplay continues to increase!

In other news, "I Can't Give You Anything But Love" by Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett is released at midnight according to Gagadaily.

GAGA SLAYING US WITH ANOTHER JAZZ COVER HOLD ONTO THOSE WEAVES GURLS

so the Gaga/Tony Bennett thing is finally happening then? Can't see the single or album doing much.

It's actually the second release from the album, Anything Goes went top 50 (?) on US iTunes and #1 on Billboard Digital Jazz Songs on fanbase buys alone, and top 100/200 on UK iTunes. They aren't really singles tho, full-on jazz songs that commercial radio won't touch.

Cheek To Cheek has actually been predicted to open with 90k in the UK and 200k in the US, believe it or not! :cheer:
