Album Discussion Here

This is much superior to 'Thinking Out Loud' so it's nice to see this looking for success.

Pleased to see UJ Top 10 despite plummeting on iTunes - The power of single signings and multi selling to fans! I dread to think the chart run  9-38-57-Out?

That run seems optimistic if anything :P

Take the 38 out of that run and that'll be more realistic

That run seems optimistic if anything :P

I thought that after I posted it   I suppose I should be thankful they have a second [And presumably final unless they can get a mega hit!] album coming out - Didn't think it was going to happen after the debut scraped Silver!

So happy to see Ellie Goulding back in the top 10

I love this post .

Union J can't really go on about taking their time to make an album properly etc. etc. when the result is a lead single as uninspired and insipid as Tonight (We Live Forever) -_-.

And their last album only came out in October 2013 so assuming they don't get dropped the second one will probably be out within 18 months of then. They're not exactly Elastica.

Ed getting a figure 8 with 'Don't' just to rub salt into the wound for Ellie :o.

Budapest

I love it when a song like this or Pompeii catches on and has massive success. I liked this like in April or earlier before forgetting about it until it became big (same with Bastille a couple of months before they came big) and I am so happy how well it's doing. Budapest is an amazing song

Bored of Budapest now. I wish streaming was abolished from the chart as there is hardly any fresh tracks in the top 10 :(

Ed getting a figure 8 with 'Don't' just to rub salt into the wound for Ellie :o.

Late but huge yes at Don't being top 10, onwards and upwards for this era hopefully.

So many Ellie references

Also Blame It On Me is leaps and bounds ahead of Budapest in terms of quality for me so hopefully it isn't too overshadowed..

Biography

OneRepublic is an American pop rock band from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Formed in 2002 by Ryan Tedder and Zach Filkins, the band achieved commercial success on MySpace as an unsigned act. In 2003, the band was discovered by actress Kelly Barrett in Hollywood who connected them directly with her cousins Jimmy Ienner and Donnie Ienner, who was the President of Sony at that time, by making one phone call to get the AR Reps to their show. They then signed to Sony BMG for three years, before moving to Mosley Music Group.

In 2007, OneRepublic released their debut album, Dreaming Out Loud. Its lead single, "Apologize" was notably remixed by Timbaland, becoming a huge international success, reaching number one in sixteen countries, subsequently earning them a Grammy Award nomination. The second single, "Stop and Stare" mirrored its predecessor's success. The album was later certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The band's second album, Waking Up (2009), produced the successful singles, "All the Right Moves", "Secrets", "Marchin On", and "Good Life", the latter reaching the top ten of the US Billboard Hot 100.

OneRepublic's third album, Native (2013), became the band's first top ten album on the Billboard 200, and highest charting album to date, charting at number four. The lead single, "If I Lose Myself" charted within the top ten in several countries, while the album's third single, "Counting Stars", became the band's most successful single in recent years, obtaining top five placements in Australia, Canada, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, the U.S. and the UK. This marks their highest charting single in the United Kingdom to date. It has also peaked at number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100, matching their highest peak of "Apologize" in 2007. - Wikipedia
