January 9, 20187 yr I've finished binging season one last week whilst I was ill. Found myself laughing at a lot of stuff that went straight over my head when I was younger.
January 9, 20187 yr Now it's on Netflix I think I might watch a few episodes to see what the fuss is all about.
January 9, 20187 yr I'm honestly shocked some people have managed to never see even one episode, I mean maybe cos I literally knew nothing else except E4 reruns when I was younger, but still :o idk if I can rewatch it as I've seen it sooo many times  it never fails to cheer me up though, seasons 4-7 are definitely the best, went very awry around the end but at least went out on a high.
January 9, 20187 yr I binged and binged and binged this show growing up, it never got old - and the funny thing is watching it as an adult there are still jokes you didn't get as a kid. The humour in general is a bit tame compared to what we're used to these days, but I enjoy it - plus the story lines themselves are worth watching it for. I remember when I was little my Mum got season 2 episodes 1-12 on VHS (3 of them!) and I got hooked, then would pick up a new VHS at every possible opportunity - finishing season 2 first, then got season 1 (working backwards), and so on. I must watch it all again - last time I did was a good 4 years ago, so it should hopefully seem pretty fresh again now! Oh and it's too hard to pick a favourite because they all have their own qualities. It's a bit like picking your favourite of the Desperate Housewives
January 9, 20187 yr Omg yes Fat Monica is an ICON Honestly everyone sleeps on Fat Monica and forgets she's an icon in her own right.
January 10, 20187 yr <3 Legit got through two / three seasons in the last week or so and like Oliver says, it's amazing how jokes can go over your head at a younger age! It will always be the best ever TV show made.
January 10, 20187 yr Now it's on Netflix I think I might watch a few episodes to see what the fuss is all about. It's much better than The Big Bang Theory but nowhere near as good as Seinfeld.
January 10, 20187 yr Oh and it's too hard to pick a favourite because they all have their own qualities. It's a bit like picking your favourite of the Desperate Housewives  Gabby. I mean like, duh.
January 10, 20187 yr Susan! It just absolutely puts BBT and HIMYM to shame. Now qit's on Netflix, I bet more move away from those trash ahows. I actually think HIMYM is slightly beter than BBT now,bur both are woeful.
January 18, 20187 yr Social Justice Warriors are attacking the show over Fat Monica and its jokes and its gay/ minority issues when it eas WAY AHESD OF ANY OTHER SHOW UNTIL WILL AND GRACE :o
January 20, 20187 yr Gabby. I mean like, duh. It's all about Lynette! Very closely followed by Gabby! Then Bree! Susan is a bit of a wet blanket :puke2: As for friends, Rachel all the way
January 25, 20187 yr I've finished binging season one last week whilst I was ill. Found myself laughing at a lot of stuff that went straight over my head when I was younger.I binged and binged and binged this show growing up, it never got old - and the funny thing is watching it as an adult there are still jokes you didn't get as a kid.Exactly this! Was watching the episode that Joey and Chandler get the chick and the duck and there's an "Of Mice And Men" reference that I'd never have noticed as a 12 year old. So many little things in there, it's making me want to rewatch the lot even though I know it so well.
January 25, 20187 yr I have never found Seinfeld funny. I just don't get what's meant to be funny about it. The characters are quite loud.

January 26, 20187 yr I have never found Seinfeld funny. I just don't get what's meant to be funny about it. The characters are quite loud. Seinfeld is brilliant but it's an acquired taste I suppose. How many episodes have you actually seen though? Watch "The Contest", "The Soup Nazi" and "The Yada Yada" and tell me it's still not funny... :D ;)
February 1, 20187 yr Yeah I find Seinfeld a bit too trying to be funny by being loud annoying characters. I've only seen a few episodes when I've been in America though, don't think it ever really took off in the UK. Got my husband watching Friends now it's on Netflix I am gobsmacked he has never seen it!!!
February 1, 20187 yr I'm honestly shocked some people have managed to never see even one episode, I mean maybe cos I literally knew nothing else except E4 reruns when I was younger, but still :o Very easy. I saw part of an episode and thought it was about a funny as an episode of Mastermind. Why would I want to watch a programme where someone gets rapturous applause for walking on to a stage?
February 2, 20187 yr Susan! It just absolutely puts BBT and HIMYM to shame. Now qit's on Netflix, I bet more move away from those trash ahows. I actually think HIMYM is slightly beter than BBT now,bur both are woeful. It's much better than The Big Bang Theory but nowhere near as good as Seinfeld. ^^^^ The Big Bang Theory is godawful I can't believe it's gone on for so long when the jokes are unfunny and the characters are cringy. HIMYM started off really great but soon spiraled out of control in the later seasons, much like most tv shows do, but thankfully ended before it could get any worse. At least in HIMYM the characters were mostly lovable, albeit that was probably more to do with the actors playing them than the characters themselves. Friends is kind of similar but is genuinely funny for the most part, and only goes downhill towards the last few seasons in terms of comedy (which was still strong right up to the end tbh, even if it was less than it began) but in my opinion the story arcs improve. Babies, jobs, marriages, relationships, etc. all seem to get a bit more exciting towards the end ("Dude wheres my car?" "They're in a car????"). Maybe i just have a soft spot for Friends since I was grown up watching it from 5-6pm while sat on the couch eating chicken kievs  Seinfeld remains an all-time favourite of those live audience sitcom types of shows. It's an acquired taste for sure, but so are all of my favs :P (It's Always Sunny.. & Arrested Development I'm looking at you).
