I think 'About A Girl' is a pretty grand song which got tarnished by being the single straight after the Keisha-being-fired-gate happened. :(

 

It's a lot more respectable than 'Get Sexy' is anyway.

I was convinced that 'About A Girl' would be a #1 single for them when it premiered on the radio (while Keisha was still in the group). All things considered it was a bit of a miracle it even got to #8 with Jade, after all the drama and backlash!

Amelle's nipple slip was the best thing about About a Girl and no one ever mentions it :(

couldnt put it better myself. Sounded like it would be a great hit for them before shit went down.

 

I prefer the Keisha version, but only marginally. It's the only sampler song where Jade gets within a billion miles of Keisha for me.

So in round 8 after 24 votes we lose 'Stronger's b-side, 'Angels With Dirty Faces' which was out for the Powerpuff Girls movie if I remember correctly. Don't mind the song myself, serves better as an album track though. This round will close a little later being Sunday evening so an extra day to vote 'Soul Sound' out.
