September 2, 201410 yr    :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: When I did my most anticipated albums of the year in January- this was number 3 for me (behind Lily and Paloma) Hook me up is an amazing album and I love untouched so I am so excited for this
September 2, 201410 yr I'll believe this album when I see it. I still love them but I need something new, and it's a shame they waited about 4 years too late for anybody to show any real interest now.
September 2, 201410 yr Author Album is still TBD, but cited for end of this year OR next year. So yeah. We will believe it when we see it (also see: Samantha Jade). They are on a new label now, so that might be a good thing. Although Lolita didn't perform well on the charts (3rd lowest single) it did go Gold and outsold the likes of Revolution, Leave Me Alone and Popular.
September 3, 201410 yr Sales in Australia were in the doldrums at their 2005/6 peak though. They've definitely left this WAYYY too long but I'm still excited to hear the new stuff. The Secret Life Of is one of my favourite albums ever and Hook Me Up was pretty damn great too.

Lisa and Jess Origliasso had a sisterly spat over who would sing the verses on the emotionally-charged song, their first new music in two years. The siblings’ career was on hold indefinitely after restructuring of their American label left their long-awaited third record on the shelf. They finally extricated themselves from the multi-million dollar deal they won a decade ago and have now signed to Sony worldwide. The Veronicas were readying a pop return to the airwaves when they decided to write one more song at a Sydney studio with local hitmakers DNA just six weeks ago. Anger at ex-boyfriends and the messy legal manoeuvrings which stymied their career for several years inspired You Ruin Me. The women had finished their record and were about to film the video for another song when they decided on a late-night songwriting session. After bashing out a couple of upbeat pop songs — and a couple of wines — Lisa suggested they return to the studio just before midnight and “just write a song for us”. By 1.30am, it was done. “Lisa and I did have a punch-up fighting about who was going to sing the verses and the DNA boys had to referee,” Jess said, laughing. “We are in such a great place now as far as being artists and being comfortable as women and this song was the last piece of the puzzle to say goodbye to the broken parts of ourselves. Source: News Corp Australia “And it’s about heartbreak, something Lisa was going through which I could relate to hugely from my past relationships.” The raw honesty of Lisa’s vocal performance — you can hear her voice crack a couple of times during You Ruin Me — prompted their label to take a chance on the power ballad. Sam Smith, Gabrielle Aplin and Paloma Faith have all enjoyed massive success this year with epic emotive songs. Unusual choice ... The Veronicas’ new single is a power ballad. Unusual choice ... I hear because it is contrived and geared towards an image rather than the enjoyment of music. “I get the pop industry but I am proud we have put our hearts into this.” You Ruin Me will hit the airwaves next Thursday and is released on September 19 with their third record expected in November. The Veronicas sold more than half a million copies of their first two albums The Secret Life Of and Hook Me Up here and were the first Australian act to hit the million downloads mark with the Hook Me Up single. Jess said they plan on reconnecting with patient fans who have waited seven years for their third record by “hitting the road”. “A small but very dedicated fanbase have been hanging in there and their incredible energy has been the thing that kept us going,” she said.
September 4, 201410 yr AH! Just seeing them is making me all emotional. Please let the album happen this time.
September 4, 201410 yr i'm sorry but the ballet outfits look ropey as f*** THAT SAID, going on the basis of that trail, they are on a decent enough major deal. here is hoping they can have a renaissance
September 6, 201410 yr I forgot about them, they were great, I loved Untouched back in the day, hope they're new stuff will be great
September 10, 201410 yr http://www.josepvinaixa.com/blog/the-veron...in-me-premiere/ Well, it's a piano ballad. It's nice enough, but not something I think they should be releasing as a single. If we can just at least get the album this time, that will be enough for me.
September 11, 201410 yr I don't think it's awful. It's quite lovely for me. Maybe because I love those theatrical/Opera type balladeer songs like "Jar of Hearts" but yeah maybe not best to lead their new album. I've only really liked 4Ever by them though :P Edited September 11, 201410 yr by Rob S

September 11, 201410 yr Both of their albums are two of my favourite albums ever, I have confidence they can deliver.
September 11, 201410 yr I think this is quite lovely. Not sure if it's suited for garnering attention from pop music fans, after being away for so long. Sounds more like a solid second or third single. Hope it works for them.
September 11, 201410 yr disappearing for 7 years and returning with a piano ballad. tbh can you be anymore naive, ESP when it's a genre you aren't known for
September 11, 201410 yr I suppose there was 'Lolita' as well, although most people have forgotten that happened.
